Another likely sprint day as the peloton heads to Naples on stage 6. It's a 162.2km out-and-back route around Mount Vesuvius, taking on two categorised climbs - Valico di Chiunzi (cat. 2) and Picco Sant'Angelo (cat. 3) - before a long and mostly flat run-in along the coast to the finish in Napoli.

@theeverlastingspiral Agree. They hardly "fucked up". This was a movie we've seen many, many times. Courtesy of radios, plus real-time data crunching, the teams knew exactly when to push hard to know when to catch the breakaway. No surprise at all.

I've enjoyed several, separate weeks, with friends hosting us in Pavullo-nel-Frignano (between 2002 and 2006); it is a beautiful région ! I met my friends, while I lived in Switzerland (1997-2010); you might look out for the early climbs of Tour de France, stage 14, on July 15th? Their first categorized hills, I had done 200 & 75 times, but 😅 I went north to south on Col de Saxel, then south to north on Col de Cou ~ they do the opposite ~ heh heh heh.

2 lads in the breakaway should’ve made a gentleman’s agreement to work until the last few 100m or at some point go side by side and dual it out etc. Too busy being selfish and immature. Better to get a heroic 2nd place to a superior kick after an all day breakaway than to petty spite yourselves and loose a guaranteed podium right at the finish.

I don’t agree. By your logic a native English speaker should pronounce every foreign word in the “appropriate” accent, which is obviously silly and ultimately impossible. Yesterday a tiny pet invaded the street and Evenpoel lost control, poor doggy. That's how most Italians love to make sick jokes playing with death threats like nothing, well, now everything is caught on camera, if anyone is that criminal to ruin the riders security must pay the fine, it's..like someone trying to generate a traffic crash, an accident and it's really deadly terrifying, everybody keep safe dogs and pets until riders pass through, otherwise they will be punished, it's not funny watching riders crash, do not allow them get hurt for making sick jokes of a kind, such facts must not be. ..ignored Ok?
