I'm a grade 11 student, and I'm very interested in English. but my background primarily uses Sinhala language, I started to watch your videos. I started with the 'All About Tenses' series, and it's been awesome. Now, I can leave comments without using a translator. However, I'd like to share a piece of advice for those who are keen on learning English: 'Rome wasn't built in a day.' Keep practising and using English consistently; one day, you will become a good English speaker

I am so sad after looking for the videos you had uploaded because i left the GceO/ls for english a C pass if i had watch it before i could have taken a A pass, these simple steps is very easy and easy to follow when i went for school they taught me a different method and little bit tricky about tenses ##Still i dont have time i am really sad how well can i coverup these kind of uploaded videos

I make this comment on your passive voice lesson done over the You Tube channel to make a constructive criticism but not a destructive one. While watching it, several questions arose in my mind among them the foremost one is "why can't you teach it without taking an Active voice? Really there is a very easy, fruitful and very productive way for teaching this pattern. Almost all who try to teach this particular lesson resort to take an Active voice sentence and transform it into a passive voice which is a very traditional, drab and dull and dry academic exercise. When you deal with a grammar lesson, you need to follow only three steps i. e. i. Concept formation or why we need it ii. Formula and iii. Examples. Too much of elaboration and explanation on a grammatical structure will definitely baffle and upset your students as has been pointed out in tenets and theories of second language teaching. And this view has been empirically tested based on data collected and analysed by linguists and it is also confirmed to be true based on my experience as well. An effective and efficacious methodology which matters a lot in a grammar lesson is absolutely necessary and is of paramount importance for the students to grasp it. Your lengthy explanation on P. V. seemed very convoluted, complexed and complicated even to me if I were a student, not to think of innocent students. In dealing with a grammar lesson, it should be very precise, succinct and clear in it's explanation. At the beginning of your talk, you tried to say why we need this structure but it took a turn for the worse when you said that it is just for the transformation of an active voice into a passive voice or just it is the opposite of an Active voice which is a rather false concept formation, misconception and a howler and a one that stunned me. In your lesson, you told them that the object of an Active voice becomes the subject of a passive voice but you didn't tell them how to identify an object of an active voice because based on my experience, many students mistake every third word in an Active voice for an object and produce risible, ludicrous and hilarious sentences such as " Home was gone by me" thinking that 'home' in the sentence "I go home" is an object. My next question is "Can all ideas be expressed in P.V.?Although, as you may know, that English which not a uniform language in grammar, pronunciation and lexicon is highly a rule governed language with thousand rules each of which has to be accounted for, but it has 1001 exceptions in which a particular grammatical structure or rule is not always possible. If the object of an active voice becomes the subject of a passive voice, what happens to the subject of an active voice in its transformation into passive voice or what it is called in the passive voice. In your lesson you dealt with passive voice giving examples relating it to several tenses at a stretch but I wonder whether it became feasible and practicable for students to grasp easily. Your methodology seemed rather mind boggling and obsolete but it should be mind blowing, impressive and exciting because grammar teaching is generally considered a very bitter and dreary academic exercise for both teachers and students. Your example "I was born on 31st of December 1998" is truly and seemingly a passive voice but what this type of passive is called in English. However, I must say that some points adduced by you in your lesson are important. Senior lecturer in linguistics

Hello! Thank you for your feedback on my video. I appreciate your perspective on teaching methods. I chose to introduce active voice first in order to provide learners with a foundational understanding before exploring passive voice structures. Understanding both concepts sequentially can aid in a more thorough comprehension. I will certainly consider incorporating additional techniques to enhance engagement in future videos. Constructive feedback is always valuable, and I am committed to continually improving the quality of my content. Thank you again for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts.
