I've followed Bowie since I was 16 and I'm 64 now. I've seen him in concert many, many times. The first experience being in the tenth row of the Tower Theater in Philly! Bowie would, in his inimitable style, be polite about this -- but your voice lacks his power, strength and command and bears no relationship to "Let's Dance" (which I saw live) or any other Bowie music. Your band mates are very good, your guitar is great, the start of the song has a lot going for it and then, well, nothing. Bowie was, and will forever be, a multi-talented genius beyond compare. As someone with perfect pitch who studied piano and sang publicly for over 7 years (other pursuits intervened) and recognized Bowie's genius at age 16, I think I have something authentic to contribute here. Thanks for reading and considering what I have to say. It is heartfelt.

This is truly a remarkable take on Bowie. He voice was so distinctive, and so iconic. Your vocals aren't a caricature or a parody but rather a heartfelt channeling of Bowie's sound and essence.

This sounds like it should be in the credits to Labyrinth, mainly because it stars David Bowie as a villain.

I've been a huge Bowie fan since the 1970's and I find this very impressive. I especially love how you blended several aspects of Bowie's career into this cover. I can hear the Let's dance era, but I can also hear earlier stuff, and later! This is very good! As a side note: that is great guitar work!!

FANTASTIC!!! You totally nailed David Bowie's "Let's Dance" style and this song sounds great Bowie style!!! I can even hear a bit of INXS "Original Sin" style in your Bowie themed cover too as INXS at the time were a bit on the same lines as Bowie "Let's Dance" but with a more rockier edge which "Enter Sandman" being a metal song brings that out so I think of both songs when I hear this! And at that time both Davie Bowie and INXS were produced by Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers. I wonder if Nile has seen your video, I bet he would be impressed!

I was not in any way prepared for how much I needed this song in my life...although for some reason I was picturing Bowie in is Goblin King getup. Honestly, this song would have fit pretty well thematically in the Labyrinth movie.

Frank Schalk - my favorite Doors track. He should definitely do that one. I'm a musician myself and I use to perform a remix/cover of '5 to 1' It was cool. I'm hip hop and beat oriented, so I added a lot of heavy bass and a nice phat drum track as well. We would chop up the chorus and certain solos they did throughout th song. We added a few things, remixed it, and covered it. I would sing Jim's parts and then I would make a section for a verse and my band mate would do his rapping on that part. I thought it was pretty creative. Never heard of anyone doing it like that before. We only ever did it live so sadly there aren't any recordings of it :(

AKA so many other titles. It is sad that he could never perform under his own name because of the Monkees, but his constant reinvention of himself and yet no loss of talent and becoming an expert in each style makes him one of the greatest musicians ever IMHO.
