The man is great. He will sell more of this product for them for all diners, farmer and residential. I always hated wobbly wood and wire fences. The concreted pipe and wire done properly will now last 100 years. The tensions. The painted, welded, and hanging really works the line wires really work for critters, sheep, chickens, and cattle, forever.

If I was building a fence this is the Nan I would want to show me how. He is a master fence builder. I work people in dangerous environment everyday and I love how he is always not just showing how but how to do it safely. Many People get to the point he is and they act like people should just know and they don’t. Many do not know just how fast you can get hurt or killed doing farm work or any kind of work. Hats off to Van.

Hi, on this 1200' pull, how many H braces did you have in the middle of the fence? My property has 1800' deep and about 750 wide. I am trying to figure how many H or HH braces I should put in. I am planning on welded pipe braces anchored in the ground with concrete footing. Appreciate your advice.. thanks, Farhan

This used to be my favorite KZbin channel, until this video. I really enjoyed watching the normal guy work on his farm, as I do..to make things work using common sense and keeping it real. However, since you decided to turn your channel into an unrealistic info-mercial channel by having Baekert supply the fencing/help, it's nothing more than showing that you suck up for sponsors. Unsubscribed. Adios.

Evan, you need a bunk room for guests - I just happen to know that you will not have power down on your farm and you and wife can cook anything with the set you have... I like the fence set up - you did your homework on this fencing. And there are videos on bed-n-breakfast rental going over now days, just an idea. Also, with the Bekaert company man helping out you have a how-to video fencing series. You're going to do good with you tube.

6:05 is a good heads up moment. The exact same thing can happen using a farm jack ('Hi-Lift' is the brand alot of off road enthusiasts use). Always keep your body out of the arc of the handle. They can and will send you to the hospital when under even moderate tension and they fail to engage or slip out....

On the TClip you bend the wire under and cut it off under the body of the clip so you have no edges. The joiners you simply roll the end over the line wire and cut it off smooth.

This is the company that sells the Bullet Fence Brace kits for pipe fencing I mentioned several months back when you were welding the pipe braces. The brace kits are for those who do not have a welder (portable or don’t know how) or the conditions are too dry that could start a fire. BTW, The fence looks absolutely great! I heard you say you planned to run a single strand of barb wire at bottom. I guess you run that last? We always ran one at bottom and one at top - keeping the animals from trying to lean over the fence to get grass (like they say grass is always greener on the other side of the fence). But with that strong wire it may prevent an animal from leaning over it. We never used the high tensile type wire - looks like the way to go to last a long time. Just will need to spray to keep brush and trees from growing up around it.
@vanmedley3413

Using barbed wire or electrified high tensile are both great options for topper lines. Evan left plenty of post to add a line in top of the fence in the future if he decides he needs it in the future. With larger livestock I would recommend it to prevent them from pressing down on the top of the fence.
