Hi Paul, See your new to you tube, at least to posting. It would be nice if you told us a little about the manufacturer of the tent. Thinking about getting a roof top, so I’m viewing the different sites, getting different ideas. It just so happens I have a Patriot which I am very pleased with, you having a roof top on you Patriot drew my attention, I’m going to subscribe and see where your headed. MrUltralight55 The brand of the tent is Smitybuilt. It’s the 2 person overlander. Great tent, I don’t work for them, but do recommend it. You wont be disappointed.

Paul are those the stock rails on the sides of the Patriot? Did you just add the crossbars, or did you put an entirely different roof rail system on it?

Hi, did you have to get any special crossbars or or roof rack for it? Did the weight affect the Jeep in any way?

Yes you will need a special rack to hold the tent and it will need to be screwed into the rack for proper support. It will add some weight but not affect the Jeep.
