CHARACTERISTICS:
● Height: 1.70m
● Diameter: 3.30m
● Space for 2 people plus a dog or 4 people can be seated in the tent
● Easy adjustment of the ventilation cap, even while lying in the sleeping bag, thanks to the In-Tent Vent ™ ventilation system.
● Storm lines with reflective threads woven in to avoid tripping at night. Knotted and provided with brackets that prevent the ropes from getting tangled.
● The all-round snow flaps can be placed outside or inside, depending on the surroundings
Outside: in snow or on sand. This is then placed on the snow flaps to lock the tent windproof
Inside: if an additional bottom is zipped in. Then the snow flaps are placed under the floor and thus forms a closed system against moisture and insects
● No arches that can break, just a demountable center pole. It is easy to replace or repair the pole with material from nature.
● Lashing straps instead of cords for tensioning the tent for more tensile strength.
● Tent stove chimney outlet through open fan cap.
● Optional available: inner tent that can be set up together with the outer tent; Can also be used separately, e.g. B. when insect protection has top priority.
● Optionally available: Robust tent floor that keeps the ground away from moisture. This is also divisible so that a tent floor or fire can be used inside the tent without damaging the tent floor
● Optionally available: canopy that can be attached with Velcro

Thank you for making this superb clear video with perfect relaxed pacing, clear explanations, clear video and audio. Very informative. I would be interested to hear about the tipi in use - whether the CP material is prone to "wicking"/drawing up moisture from where it contacts the wet ground and in rainy conditions.

This is an expert level question, and we want to give an honest answer: The construction of the tent is comparable to every Tentipi Onyx CP. CP means a mixture of Cotton and Polyester. The fabric has a permanent ground contact in use and the impregnation chemicals are not to make a 100% waterproof shield e.g. like a PU- coated Nylon fabric or a PVC coatet canvas. But of course : The tent fabric is a breathable and fully a rainproof system for several years. The impregnation is mainly for rot protection and keep the tent canvas breathable. Schade, hab mir leider ein halbes Jahr vorher ein Tschum Soswa zugelegt. Allerdings hat das Tentipi ein bisschen mehr Komfort🤔 Kann man die Mittelstange auch ersetzten durch aufhängen in einen Baum oder zwei äußeren Großen Pfählen/Ästen/Zeltstangen?

AlderderAli Eeh das müsste prinzipiell funktionieren. Wie alle Tentipis hat auch das Olivin an der Spitze eine Schlaufe die zum Aufhängen um das Zelt zu trocknen vorgesehen ist. Diese könnte man für deine Anwendung auch zweckentfremden

Ich würde es nicht als Nachfolgemodell bezeichnen. Das ist etwas irreführend. Es erweiterte eher die Olivin-Serie.
