I waited a while for this game to release, but want them to polish it up a tad more for a good experience. Im stopping this vid at 46mins, BUT. At 35:56 The empty reload animation is wrong, and youre not supposed to see your front-side post when looking through the Trijicon ACOG. Kinda weird over sights, but not that big a deal. The Everything else looks REALLY GOOD.
@berget3683 Жыл бұрын
ive seen on other vidoes that the looking over the acog is used in cqc and actually was taught to marines because an acog indoors is a huge handicap because it blocks so much of you limited field of view. And in general point shooting is more effective indoors anyways especially when clearing rooms. and concerning the empty reload does look a little wierd why is there no animation for hitting the bolt realese which would be faster. Im not even sure if the bolt closes if using only the charging handle.
@MixTheMetal Жыл бұрын
@@berget3683 when he looks through the scope, you shouldn't see the front side post. Scopes with magnification can't focus on it. With an AR-15 platform and you hit 0 rounds in a magazine, your bolt should be locked to the rear, so all you need is bolt release!
@berget3683 Жыл бұрын
@@MixTheMetal yeah exaclty i dont know why they dont use the bolt realese and you are absolutely correct about the fronts sight post i thought you were talking about the aming through iron sights above the acog.
@mrmason23 Жыл бұрын
The over-the-top aiming is realistic, according to testimonies of Marines in fallujah, because they were fighting in CQB from house to house, street to street, those with scope like the trijicon Acog was told to aim over the top of their sight in close quarters, because in CQB their vision is limited when using the Acog, when insurgents are running around, flanking and generally trying to kill you in any angle or way possible that isn't Ideal for awareness, so that was the solution the Higher ups gave. Though one thing to note is that they also taught this to soldiers assigned with iron-sights for the same reason though it isn't necessary, this feature/technique is of coursed featured in the game. Also if you are wondering why the 28 rounds in the mag, back in 2004 the marines and army personnel in fallujah (and many other sectors) were given old-stamped NATO mags that was supposed to be disposable after one use, meaning magazines that we used from way before in 1991 to 2003~ in Armory was used, leading to cases of jamming or failure when feeding the M16A4 with a full 30 round mag, so the solution was to only feed 28.

Seeing Teo, Paddy, and Flash analyze the propaganda in the intro with a critical eye makes me _way_ more comfortable watching this gameplay. I myself know some soldiers whom i attended high school with, and the one was apart of the rather horrid extraction of some of our allies from Afghanistan. He left the military very shortly after as he decided he didnt want to be apart of the army anymore, i believe due to the command but also administration. The US' recruitment problem is also only going to get worse for the forseeable future, and especially so if we do get soldiers deployed in Ukraine and very worse when we have our future war with China. If the U.S. has another war in the next 5 years, there will be a draft.

I mean ARMA is literally a military simulator and people used that for all sorts of reasons including dayz... don't see anyone cancelling the game for "propaganda & recruitment". I am just saying! Even CS:GO, COD & Battlefield & others have tailored to the military. I also found it unfortunate you guys seemed disappointed and wanting to refund by the end of it. Though the lack of content for the price is a legitimate concern until more comes and it's out of early access. With the logic I've seen surrounding the controversies around the subject matter of imperialism and war I guess all tactical and shooter, war games should be cancelled lol? No more ready or not, rainbow six, tom clancy anything, SOCOM, insurgency etc? I always found these conversations highly overly controversial when you consider how much we normalize violence, war in videogames and media anyway? I mean videogames like manhunt and all those very disturbing horror and survival horror games exist? Let's ban them and cancel them i guess... cause they have sexual assault themes for example like Silent Hill series? Lots of people die in all wars and conflicts and have since modern human civilizations and beyond, civilians and not alike. Dogs even, cats & animals. I just feel the sentiments around videogames that make people uncomfortable or confused should perhaps have some self reflection and maybe educate themselves more about the actual subject matter. I guess it all depends how you process and react to it when exposed to the triggering aspects of the game or narrative etc, world building. For example those obnoxious cutscenes and pictures you guys slammed were all real people & real events, footage often times who actually went through traumatic events, so it's a bit disrespectful. Some of which actually died, got injured, their whole lives ruined and stuck on drugs from veteran affairs who were useless at the time and still are. Don't worry I am huge fan of all of you; not giving anyone any shit. Just perspective. Games like this in order to fully enjoy require a certain mindset as well as quality of development in their own right from the studios making them. Even if I am personally anti war I still have an appreciation for studying the subject matter I guess hence why realistic war games will always be relevant for me. I agree with your review overall though, the game just needs a bit more development but it's almost there.

That probably depends. How would you react towards negative jokes about Ukraine for instance? The connection here is these were two wars with false justifications and civilian casualties were over the chart. Apparently half the casualty in Fallujah were civilians, and that's gotta be something at the very least.

@@kenz2756 bro they are playing a GAME. it doesn't matter how i feel about jokes about anything, nor how you feel. people make jokes about literally EVERY major event, but if you cant let go of reality to make jokes IN A GAME, then therapy is better than getting mad on youtube.

@@kenz2756 but if you feel the need to use ukraine, are you saying the soldiers out fighting arent allowed to make tiktoks or joke with each other while out there? why? cuz you don't like the situation they're in? or.. hear me out.. sometimes its fine to not be so fucking serious lmfao
@kenz2756 Жыл бұрын
@@spicysachii I admit I don't know which joke you would be referring to specifically. Because in this case people love to make distasteful dark jokes about how the civilians are worthless. These don't get half as much repercussions as it would if used against Ukrainians. Hell most of people in the west are unwilling to say anything bad about Ukraine at all these days.

@crocidile90 it's a damn shame, but looking back in time I get the feeling that rulers have always been obsessed with looking like the good guys, but I agree it's become worse nowadays because everyone feels like they rule their country. It's the lack of authenticity you mentioned that bothers me the most because everything is getting twisted into some sort of morality competition. I respect the idea that it means governments can't get away with atrocities but that doesn't feel like the case they just lie about it now

@@Wubbs64You are probably one of the very few westerner with a principle I could respect even though you clearly adhere to the doctrine. Because you're not hypocrtical, owns the negatives. But hey, since you mention it *the US didn't need to do jacksht.* The whole war was just a game for Bush, the whole reasoning was a shameless lie. It can't be a war against terrorism if it literally birthed ISIS itself as a result. The past is the past, but nowadays what with Ukraine and the supposed 'deserved consequences' for war have suddenly changed. And that is just really annoying, it's a lack of principle.

European first worlders usually are, they refuse to believe that the people whose culture tells them to rock people to death, throw them off roofs, and decapitate them are not actually barbarians but refugees to take care of.... we all know how thats working out for them. Here in south america we tried giving them asylum once, they gave us trouble as soon as they arrived, they are gone now.

I'm glad that they were able to pretty quickly realize that this game is essentially propaganda with how much it praises the US military and ignores any wrongdoings. "No no no, we SWEAR, all innocent civilians had already left. It was ONLY bad guys left. No civilians were killed by US military, pinky swear."

The fact that westerners feel comfortable making and playing a game about a baseless war that killed millions of innocent civilians says it all really. I mean russian developers made a game called Syrian Warfare whilst the war was still ongoing which was obvious propaganda. Was still a fun game with intresting mechanics. I suppose the only way I could find this game contriversal is the fact that the developers focus on foreigners are heroes rather than the Iraqi soldiers that fought to reclaim the city alot of them undoubtely grew up in. I dont mind it too much otherwise though and would just be happy with a game where you get to shoot terrorists. Because at the end of the day defeating the terrorists surely means the civilians of the city will stop getting killed for their beliefs- or lack thereof.
