I read a guide on the endings, obviously, there’s the main good and bad endings, I won’t paste the “secret” ending(s) on here, however, you can read for yourself here: gameranx.com/features/id/180609/article/blair-witch-how-to-unlock-every-ending-good-bad-secret-endings-guide/ Break The Cycle - The Good Ending The Good Ending is a little harder - you need to avoid ‘killing’ any of the monsters with your flashlight. Instead, use the Night-Vision to sneak around them. Don’t collect any of the Dolls (except the dolls that are required to progress in Chapter 17) - and don’t destroy the Totems. In Chapter 17, you need to disobey orders instead of following the commands. Don’t pull the lever, and don’t kill. Just leave through the door. When it slams shut, just open it and leave again. Take His Face - The Bad Ending To witness the bad ending in Blair Witch, you need to use your flashlight to ‘kill’ the monsters instead of avoiding them. Kill as many as you can. You’ll also need to follow the orders you receive in Chapter 17. Do as you’re told and kill the sheriff, then pull the lever. Some things I have to say; I haven’t played the game myself, I’m a wuss. I’m gonna go ahead and try to explain what I think happens in both endings, in the bad ending, Take His Face, you give in to your “demons,” killing Carver. Just what the Blair Witch wanted, Ellis, the player, turns into Carver, I don’t know if he goes by Ellis or Carver after that transformation, you basically freed Carver, but you are trapped in that body, it’s a cycle, the Blair Witch does stuff to lure another one of her “chosen” into her setup, do something similar to what she did to Ellis, then the “chosen” would kill Ellis, and then they turn into Carver, freeing Ellis from the torment of being Carver, and on and on. A cycle. In the good ending, Break The Cycle, you face your demons, but don’t “give in” to them, so, the same showdown between Ellis and Carver happens, but Ellis doesn’t kill Carver, he doesn’t give in to his temptations: Carver and the Blair Witches plan, has just been foiled. Carver stabs Ellis out of rage, making the Blair Witch uh, remove him from existence? He just disappears in a blink. And Ellis dies from the stab. So, Carver theoretically dies, so does Ellis, who was supposed to be the next Carver/chosen, for it to work, Ellis has to kill Carver, that didn’t happen, it was the other way around. The cycle has been broken, the Blair Witch’s chosen has been killed, all the hassle to get Ellis through that stuff, only for him to ruin her plans, no more Carver, no more chosen. This comment is getting really long. It’s hard to tell since I’m doing this on my phone, but, whatever, if you’ve managed to actually take the time to read the whole thing, i congratulate you, if you got a headache trying to read what I typed down, sorry.
