Teo vs Ryan Garcia seems a lot more 50/50 to me now. When a fighter gives Teo everything he need to win, he still doesn’t look great, but he does look good, but only when the sun, moon and stars are perfectly aligned for him. I thought Ortiz won by a couple rounds and for everyone that says he didn’t do anything but run, he still out threw and out landed Teo. First of all in my eyes Teo won, yeah he didn't land much but his offense was slightly more effective. Ortiz fought an ugly fight and mostly just ran around without firing back much, definitely a smart game plan but makes for ugly viewing and me and many other people I know don't wanna watch him fight again anytime soon. The chicken can run all over the farm, but Ortiz was in an enclosed space the ring. Teofimo needs to take accountability for his poor footwork and fundamentals. He couldn't trap Ortiz against the ropes or in the corners the whole fight because of his own shortcomings. You force the boxer mover to become stationary by trapping him in the enclosed space that is the boxing ring, Teofimo failed to do it.

I agree. This was the most interesting part of the whole night. Teofimo has some issues alright and I would hazard a guess that some of them would be due to his relationship with his father. They both seem hyper sensitive to criticism from anyone, especially boxing crowds and both exhibit paranoid tendencies. Whenever I see Teofimo talk I feel like he’s on the verge of having a breaking down if he feels he is being criticised in any way. What also stood out for me was the way his father kept hovering around his son during his post fight interview and kept trying to answer his questions for him. Ortiz won that fight point blank. Yes Teo was coming forward and be the aggressor but missing most of his punches. In boxing they call them type of boxers ZOMBIES - They come forward swinging but hitting nothing. Ortiz had a game plan to fight with clever defence and make Teo missing his punches and countering cleverly. Not all boxers can do it thats why some suckers are trying to discredit a powerful boxing skill called the sweet science and say it *running*. They want a slug fest to call it boxing. I agree w Teos win, the marathon boxers are not fighters. It's a bad look for boxing. That's why UFC is booming cuz those guys are willing to fight brutal. Boxing used to be brutal now it's just soft. Forget the scoring. The other dude refused to fight. He deserves to lose because people paid good money to be there. To tune in. If you're aggressive but you can’t cut of the ring and doesn’t land it doesn’t matter if you are aggressive. He lost the sandor martin fight and now this fight, he can’t fight movers, and you don’t have to engage to win a boxing match, it’s not fun to see, but that’s a different thing entirely. Kind of ironic seeing teo blame the judges all the time but he’s the main receiver of biased decision making. The people here have no clue about boxing scoring, only casuals think Ortiz was running, if you land more on your opponent, has the clearer punches and a good defense, you win the fight.
