Teostra Guide : Monster Hunter World BEGINNER tutorial!

Tips from someone who just fought Teostra for the first time: 1) You can tell when Teostra is about to charge its "Nova" attack because it will hover over the air and then do a charge, have flashpods ready and shoot one to interrupt the "Nova" and knock Teostra down, if you don't have flashpods then crystalburst which can be found near the entrance of the cave will be sufficient to flinch Teostra... 2) Equipping your Palico with maxed out Shieldspire will work wonders as the Palico Stooge will draw the Teostra's agro and give you room to attack Teostra... 3) If you're using ranged weapons, don't bother with piercing ammo, the body of Teostra is immune to damage so you won't be able to get the max damage potential; instead focus on Ice or Water ammo as well as Poison ammo, Slash and Sticky ammo work better than Piercing ammo for this fight...

Solid video but one thing that was not mentioned was his heavy hitting move, the Super Nova. The camera tends to pan out and focus on Teostra to show you he's winding it up. When this happens, either run and take cover or, what I usually do is, flash him down. Can get some nice free hits once that happens.

Keydolf. I know that teostra is not so weak against dragon element but with high elder seal from nergigante weapons can nullify it's fire/ blast powder aura and also can prevent teostra from using its supernova.

Keydolf. Elder seal can also disable kirin's lightning aura, vaal hazak's fog aura, kushala daora's wind aura, rumored to impede the amount of time for nergigante's white spikes to hardened and turn black, and also rumored to affect xeno jivia's enraged ability to super heat the ground it's just standing on.

Ice weapons are also recommended bruv, never forget ice particles from ice weapons supresses the fire particles.

These are great, but it would be beneficial if you could go through the resistance / recommended gear types for these fights. So you could say "I recommend at least 320 defense and 20 fire resist for this fight". Obviously Teostra is fire based, so no brainer, but Kushala does Ice damage AND dragon damage quite heavily. When I found this out, I upped my dragon resistance and suddenly this fight became a lot easier for me. Thanks for the footage, I especially liked that you didn't just show the parts where you weren't getting hit and easily winning.

Thats some solid advice there! Thankyou I will keep this in mind, altough i think ive covered most of the harder beasts in the game, so i basically need a new series in monster hunter. Any reccomendations? Or things you would want to see?

Probably get a fair few looks from posting about what happens after the story is complete. Why people still play to HR 100 or more, what is awakened? etc other ideas include why weekly limited bounties are important to complete, farming routes for most needed items, what to expect to be added in the next expansion or big patch, how to obtain all of the different palico accessories and what they do and finally build videos generally are popular, I find myself looking them up often. Create builds that are unique, fun, high dmg, solo or group based, specific for a weapon type etc etc. Keep up the good work!
