I’m just a Kentuckian never been to Sea and never touched a whale let alone see one in person. The only opinion I have of this video is that it’s very interesting. Like the situation of the alligator snapping turtle man took advantage of what the almighty had put before him to survive for many years and it led to passing laws for conservation purposes but they found that they were so slow growing that they couldn’t keep up to multiply enough to balance out for the turtle trappers to continue with a season so that led to full time protection and considered endangered. No doubt the traditions of what used to be are hard to let go but everything happens for a reason and that’s what became of whaling all around.

Bit too late for Tuna & Swordfish probably. Common sense says we should never out hunt a resource but there are more extinct species & subspecies than applied common sense. Bring back commercial whaling what purpose but they have they not sharks they don’t keep smaller predators in check they eat small fish an crill All they go for is city liberals that have never seen a shark or whale to try to act like they care about something to there liberal,city dwelling,scum that would walk by a homeless vet with his hand out to put money in a can for a fuck8ng whale .you people make me sick 😋 have a nice day .

Eating small fish and krill is an important role in the ecosystem. I don’t necessarily have a problem with commercial whaling, as long as it’s sustainable
@bingola455 жыл бұрын
@@conorlarkin7135 The problem is ENTIRELY because of the lack of sustainability. If the whale was plentiful, like the rabbit, then whaling would be a great boon to mankind.

As a vet myself your hatred is killing you. There is help out there. Also work on your vocabulary, punctuation etc. Did you go to school?

Whale margarine is my favorite yo. Nothing like wearing my newest outfit made from the various hides that are taken super smooth they are! Brush my hair with whale tooth combs and of course I got my ivory tooth necklaces. But for real ambergris and whale margarine is love and you poors just wouldn’t understand.

When I was a kid we had a few whale teeth, one with a nice picture of a sailing ship on it and a few plain ones. And ivory carved into flower shapes was very much in fashion. You could buy ivory jewelry all over the place. Most of it was elephant ivory of course. And I'm not ancient, I'm talking about the 1970s. The whale oil margarine is hilarious though.

Fortunately in these modern times the southern oceans are patrolled by heroic sea shepard sailors to confront this now unnecessary cruel slaughter.
