Hello Teppo, thank you for sharing. I believe Sony also has an app called Creator's App, which is awful. It seems that not everyone is clear on which app you are referring to. It would be beneficial to include the name of the app in the description to prevent any confusion.I expected to see an icon or the app's name on the screen at some point in the video, but it didn't appear.

Thank you for the video. The creator app didn’t work at all for over a year then after firmware updates it worked somewhat but was unstable. This new app looks pretty legitimate hope it works well with my a7iv

Yeah, this app is insane. Quickly setting max/min focus for wireless focus pulls are amazing. The touch to track is great. Multi-cam monitoring! Input LUTs, all the tools of a full featured external monitor. It's free...really amazing. If you have a Sony cam then you can't skip it. I've not been able to get it to pair with our Burano yet, which is annoying because it is supported, but it pairs immediately with the A1, AIII, FX6 etc..Sony is the best for giving it's users the most out of their hardware and they carry it over to the app so well here.

@@markshirley01 I ended up getting it to work on the Burano by logging into the camera's wi-fi on my phone and then in the menu of the burano opening a verification QR. The A1 uses bluetooth. Still need to upgrade the Burano firmware so I'm hoping that makes it a quicker process.

Holy shit finally... Not only is the imaging edge app terrible, but my A7siii can't connect to it and there's 0 support from Sony. I can't even get an email back lol. Well this new app looks great. I'm hoping it works!! Thanks for the video buddy!

Sony needs to bring this app to the vlogger cameras and prosumer cameras(zv-e1 etc and a7cii) - it’s these consumers that need it! Professionals use other monitors as Atomos etc.

I'm sure someone else will have mentiioned this but there are 2 apps that can control Sony cameras. Monitor+ is an independent app with a free and paid version. Monitor & Control is the new Sony app Teppo is talking about in this video. The thing I can't figure out is how to view with a LUT - I have a Sony a7siii connected to M&C via USB. Can't see any way of adding a LUT to view slog3 in normal colour on the phone screen. Sticking to the Shinobi ii until I find it!

The FX3 is their "cinema" camera, not the A7SIII, if they put all of the features from the FX3 into the A7SIII then the only difference in the two would be color and a fan. And all of us who paid the extra $$$ would have been ripped off. Sony won't do what your asking because there would probably be a lawsuit.

It is missing the ability to WB for a solo shooter. FPS and codec are all gimmicks. These would be chosen and set on camera way before the app was launched but it is a struggle to position a grey target or passport colour checker and then perform a WB. If you could see the target on your phone and initiate a WB stood in front of the lens that would ease a solo shooter’s work load immensely.
