Such a calm and composed professor. Shows you, the more you know, the humbler you become.

Can you please correlate the x-t graph for periodic vibrations with a real situation. Especially the sudden drop from x = max amplitude to zero amplitude where dx/dt = infinity
@jaydasg67 ай бұрын
I understand it is constitutive because the reaction to external forces depends on the constitution of material or constant K in F= kx. k is dependent on constitution of material.

Disturbance in space time caused by internal or external force .
@ashish007shivhare4 жыл бұрын
External force is necessary to break the state of equilibrium... Now the question is what is external in reference to space time system.

I have one question sir, Please explain why, Sin theta = theta ( for small angle)???
@baki00-3 жыл бұрын
Sin0 is 0 Sin5 is 0.08 Sin10 is 0.178 The values are very small. If you check the radian values of these thetas like 5, 10, you’ll see that it’s almost equal to its SIN value. Basically it’s the same thing but easier for calculation. In energy method you are supposed to derivative, so while derivation it becomes simpler to understand the equation. PS: if theta is taken as an absolute value, it is taken as 5rad not 5deg

Taylors expansion of sinX, with all the powered x terms giving smaller and smaller values, we neglect every power term and just consider the first term i.e, X of the series.

@ @HARSHIT KUMAR GIRI have ever been to an anatomy class, or in the management section of a company....I bet you are toad of some small pond. Let me tell you, The AUKAAT of engineers is not more than.....WORKER....they r there to do .....just do their 8-8 job and move their ass off....coz it's that very management section which decide how engineers are going to do it, when they are going to do it....I bet you have never been to a Operations n quality management section of a company..... because.... while you get your hands dirty in machines and involve youself in petty quarrel with your iti n labour mates over your IIT/NIT ENGINEERING degree, they r busy using their brains to design efficient process flows.....to allow you your bread and butter..... respect other deciplines.... because when you say something is not important, you are not questioning it but putting your IQ forward, that you are a lay man ....
