Superb fun. I own a large Skrama and its a lovely bit of kit. Its relatively cheap for what you get and its vastly more robust than a lot of "higher" end knives. Well done breaking it. Your hands must have been sore the next day.

Awesome Video! I have both of these knives ,… the Terava Skrama 240 & the Terava Skrama 200. For the money,… these knives are awesome. It’s great to see just how much abuse a “Survival/Bushcraft” blade can withstand. I also have the Terava JaakariPuukko 140 ,… I really like all of the knives from Varusteleka. GOOD STUFF. 👍🏻

I have two 140mm and the full 240mm skrama, such fantastic tools. Rusts easily but that doesn't bother me much. One thing I always like in these tests is to see what you're left with after all the abuse. In this case and others, you'd still have a functional tool even after it broke several times, it'd just be shorter. In a survival situation or whatever, you'd still have something to work with. Some knives fail in a way that would make them all but useless right away.

@@BuggyDClown-pc7sc I don't mind the surface rust really, it's a chopping tool after all and not a looker. If I do want to remove rust I often use sanding blocks from hardware stores. If you're going to store it a spray or rub of pretty much any oil works just fine. Personally I just accept the stains so I don't have to fuss over it.

For almost any realistic task in the woods, there should be no concern about breaking the tip. While it's true that the hole weakens the blade strength, comparatively, at the tip. That hole should not be of concern for most users. Also, the hole is there for a reason, probably related to the mass-tempering process. In any case, its presence doesn't concern me AT ALL. So keep on abusing the blades Joe. And be careful that they don't return the favor. Have you though about adding explosives to your testing process ? You know, blowing them up ! :)
