People are unbelievably ignorant about Copyright Laws. Zee Music literally have purchased the license of this song legally, by paying money. It was Geo who used the music, even after selling the rights of this song to Zee. That is why Zee sent them Copyright claim notice, not because the tune was similar to 'Thukra kar Mera Pyaar'. But please bear in mind the ownership of song doesn't vest in these people just because they created the song. It vests in the *Producer* of the song, who pays these people to create the song, which is Geo Channel in this case. The Producer of any song earns money by distributing the rights of the song through Licenses. The Zee Music owns the License of the Song. Once you sell the Rights of the song, you don't have any Right to use the song. The Song belongs to the Licensee now. It is as simple as that. That is why you might hear when a popular song is re-mixed, the original singer or composer are not asked their opinion because rights of the Song is with Production Houses like T-Series, Zee Music, Saregama. You might remember how Falguni Pathak was not asked when Neha Kakkar sang the horrible re-mix of "Maine Payal hai Chankayi". 2. Just because the Geo Channel released the song first (3 Months or 1 Year) doesn't mean the song became automatically theirs. Maybe the Zee Music Company was saving the song to be released with a Music Video. Imagine their shock when the Geo Channel, even after selling the rights, were still using the song 😂 3. I love the song the thing is that Zee music company had been reported the original ost on har pal geo tv then they again had put strike on episodes of tere bin then they are claiming the song as their now. The song copyright however goes to pakistan's digital telecast channel har pal geo only and they did this by posting this ost here. They should not have done this claiming something which is not there, that's why tere bin drama fans are not liking it.
