I attended the concert at my college (IIITD). I had no clue about who he is and I said to my friend that I am not going to attend the concert session busy with deadline and solving assignment in my hostel room. Then I heared a beautiful sound through my window which was coming through the concert, I though someone from abroad came and that guy who about to come was cancelled. And the song he was singing was cold mess. I just bring my slippers and went direct to the concert. And I experienced the mesmerizing, soulful, adorable, smoothy, voice that night. I attended many so called popular concert previously also. But never heared an artist performed so damn good in live. from till then now, I am fan❤️.

I think the song is about how we hold on to hope, even when we're thousands of miles away (which in this case was the astronaut's distance from their home). "Tere hi toh saath mann hai" signifies how you can be PHYSICALLY somewhere else completely and yet have your mind right where it needs to be- with your lover🥰🌻 My dad's a captain in the Merchant Navy - and an occupational hazard of that is that you need to stay away from your partner and your family for months on, every year. They're now 34 years strong but I still have a hard time believing how my parents' relationship survived during the 80s and 90s- when the only mode of communication was sending hand written letters- which would reach your partner 3-4 months AFTER you'd written them. My mum tells me about how this one time my father came home after 24 months of constant sailing because they needed the money- and they must have exchanged like, 6 letters each? It's really funny (and sad) that I can't even imagine a relationship survive like that in OUR generation- we're all about instant gratification and text responses on WhatsApp. And anxiety over unanswered texts?!?! There's a lot of wisdom in learning patience and faith. Forever grateful for your songs and your stories, Prateek🥺💖. Can't wait for the entire EP 🌻

Prateek, you've uplifted me since ever. I remember getting enormous anxiety attacks 2 years back, which still comes back to me, ghosts me around at times.
