@@Shweta-e90 I don't know about Indian format in this way, but I'll share of here, asal main hamara haan pehle 13 episodes Ka format hota tha Which you can say was very compact during PTV era and yes one episode a week so you can say in 3 months one serial last. But there are 7 serials in that circle of 3 month, each day of one week but like one serial dhoop kinare episode then another good one on the next day.. us daur main commercialism Kam tha aur quantity ki jagah quality Ziyada thi yeh Meri apni personal opinion hai , other may disagree with it and that's why some became memorable classic seriasl produced during that era as the writers and directors were passionate about their work and knew their work. Then private channels like hum tv etc came in and they brought some good shows but their quality was not UpTo that standard pushing that 13 episodes into 20, if you see earlier during 2010- serials mostly of 20 episodes.then they pushed it to 30 and now almost 40. I have no issue with length if they have the content of it you will see after some hype and start it drag itself as they were not UpTo the content to create that long serial so here comes quantity subdues quality. if you ever wanna compare watch a small serial like marvi, hawayen, dhoop kinare etc. you will see lot of difference. But due to the internet and global audience they're more into hype and fame and money than the cultural content and real stories. Wanted to share with historical background. Sorry for my long reply.

40 is fine. I being an Indian, want Pakistan to stick to their under 50 episodes for most dramas. No need of 100s of episodes wala faltu Indian type dramas! This also means Pakistan has good writers who can come up with new stories every now n then. Ek hi drama 10 saal chalna means lack of imagination and creativity. Hope our dramas improve!
