Excellent song. Melodious rendition. Brilliant orchestration. But what dominates all these elements is the picturization. Kudos to the great K Balachander - one of the most creative and thoughtful directors. The beauty of those locales - both in Goa and Visakhapatnam - is etched in our memory. I saw those ruins in Bhimili a small town near Visakhapatnam. That iconic dilapidated building was inhabited by the Dutch centuries ago. By 1985 not a trace of it was left. Ek Duje Ke Liye broke new ground in showcasing romance. Kamal proved his mettle in Bollywood also. Many young girls were found sobbing during the climax. The movie had all the elements- romance, humour, tragedy in equal measure. It is a cult classic .
