Crawford is one of the greats of our era, but comparing him to Sugar Ray Robinson is ridiculous. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Sugar Ray Robinson had two winning streaks both longer than Crawford's entire career. He had 201 professional fights in an era when boxing had a much deeper talent pool than today.

The guys he fought were very tough, but not evolved. He can clearly watch some of these fights and see what these guys were doing. Straight forward, "fixed", style...and Robinson struggled with a lot of them, hence rematches. Crawford has never struggled and has always been 2 steps ahead of his opponents. If you watched the video, I wasn't comparing the two, I was suggesting that IF Crawford wins 3X Undisputed, he will be in the conversation. First of all, I don't see Canelo & Charlo fighting him.. too mobile and fast for both.. Canelo wouldn't want to put himself in an embarrassing situation by risking his resume to a small guy.. Charlo saw what Crawford did to his stable mate and wouldn't want the smoke.. Only route for Crawford is to take care of the rematch, get a belt at 154, which is likely going to be a WBO belt, currently held by Tim Tzyu and work his way up.. I have seen zero degradation in Crawfords ability, in fact I think he's getting better. If you want to talk about age catching up, GGG is a better example, in his prime everyone was scared of him even canelo (remember when he vacated a belt to avoid him?) but near the Jacobs fight is when he started to slow down and show chinks in his armour and power, that's when canelo took the chance to fight him. Now time has overtaken GGG. In five years time then we can talk father-time and crawford. Not now, conditioning, nutrition and sports medicine should keep crawford fresh for a while.
