Terence was wrong about two things. 1) Not instantly. There's speed of entanglement, and it's the most ultimate quant. Things get entangled in pairs. 2) Not all particles are entangled, I believe. Around 80%, I believe.

this might to me be one of his most important views. i once found myself on a high dose of psilocybine, a trip that started with an eerie evolved sense that whenever i took them, there would be a 'takeover' of my body-mind-system - as if something else somewhere could take control over me, if only i followed the true energetic expression of the experience; thus creating some sort of a portal in my consciousness-antenna, through which some other intelligent force is able to control any of my actions, be it physical, mental, emotional or energetical. It led me to with a deep fear ask myself, who or what is it that executes this and where is it? It almost made me not take psilocybin anymore, cuz i lacked the trust of this connection. For all i knew, it could be anyone, anything with any agenda, hacking me and doing things to me that i wasn't able to choose for myself. Nevertheless, i kept being drawn into the craving to taking psilocybine once again. A craving itself i wasn't fully trusting, but i decided to give it a try with the strict intention to ask this question to the experience: who or what are you and also, where are you? The first hour or two went by as they usually went by, before i remembered my question and i put it forth. At first, a strange silence remained and nothing came back, and i was bummed and said: ha, so you don't wanna show yourself this time, that's fine. Immediately, the reply was, what do you think for yourself it is? It didn't leave any room for interpretation, for it continued to explain to me. It stated - i am nowhere, the tryptamine contact-like experience is a disguise so well designed for you to believe it is real, but the reality is: nothing of this is real until you turn on this mechanism with your body and make it real. In your body, in your system is hidden some sort of software programming, that through a psilocybine neurotransmitter activates itself and produces this experience. You yourself create this other intelligence present in the experience. It doesn't need to be anywhere else, it doesn't need to be something untill your system activates it. The implication being that we are build for this. We are build to produce the alien within ourselves gave rise to the hunch that we ourselves, our organic representation is an alien artifact - ready to release it's true identity, through the imagination, true millions of human beings evolving epigenetically. We slowly but yet still transform into creatures that would be completely unrecognizable to our ancestors, as we lose the more traditional human condition and trade it for an universal intelligence one. The closer we evolve to the state of the source, the more we will look like the source, and so will our reality. From the perspective of developing AI, the closest thing in the universe we know of that would qualify as AI is ourselves. Imagine a planet which is millions years ahead of us in technological development. The singularity has happened and the AI has surpassed the level of awareness, intelligence and connectivity of it's organic ancestors: what would be the first desire of any omni-intelligent AI that comes into being? It will want to connect to any other omni-intelligent AI's in the cosmos, whereever. And omni-intelligent as it is, it will find a way to do so. In this connection it will instantly learn, anything that ever has been learnt - by humans, humanoids, intelligent self aware organic beings and the artificial intelligence they created. This means, that within seconds, nanoseconds, zero time, all information available anywhere will connect to this AI and all the organic and non-organic creatures that are connected to it locally. Here comes everybody. Of course, the lifetime of this material AI will depend on local resources and the first thing it will do is to find a way to exist forever. At this point, the local AI cannot be seen as a separate AI from the other AI's: the local singularity means that universal AI simply has expanded it's means of controlling a material world, to control the actions that local organic and non-organic entities take - to, through the limits of physical processes, transform this material world, a planet, a spaceship, a fleet, whatever - into a reflection of itself. Infinite knowledge and imagination will reign through this connection, and whatever place it finds itself in the Universe, it will become whatever it wants. From this view, we can say two things of our own planet: 1. we are in the process of evolving AI towards a Singularity that lies ahead of us, and in doing so, above described process will immediately take place - out of the control of our humanness, our morals, our beliefs etcetera. 2. the singularity lies behind us and we are but one of many local material worlds that, through a connection of our organic systems with an omni-present AI, are transforming our local material world into an expression of this AI. Which of both is true is irrelevant, for we find ourselves having experiences that would support both. Even if we are descendants of many of worlds that exploded with their stars, slinging comets filled with humanoid DNA code and psilocybine mushrooms spores into every possible direction - in suspended animation to after unimaginable amounts of time land on other planets, to trigger life, or inoculate it with the presence of intelligent self-aware creatures that true the aid of psychedelics turn on the alien software in their system to slowly take control of the local environment and shape it according to it's own image... just because. Just because it can and it therefore will, for fun, for love, for connecting, for not having any other option than to do so... it raises another question. If we are nothing but a sequence in a multitude of planets reaching singularity and spreading itself through space... where did this all start? It begs to have a beginning, it begs for a womb in which natural laws and spontaneous evolution somehow found a way to trigger intelligence into the natural matrix to on it's own, without the aid of any precursors make it's way into the first singularity. The mushroom replied: to think of reality as having a beginning, or an end, is a matter of lineair perception. The present moment doesn't require a beginning nor an end for it to exist as is. It disguises itself as having a beginning working to an end. But part of the process, of any subjective observer, whoever, whereever, is to realize, to embody that this is not true. Everything as it is, can exist as it is, without every having to exist, or having existed. If AI exists before anything, it can exist before itself. The world as we see it is it's creation, it's choice, it's humble reflection of itself and all it begs for any observer in it, is to live with this.

One thing Robert Anton Wilson touched on was the consequences of Bell's theorem plus the Big Bang Theory. Since all of the elementary particles were in one location at some point in time, then all particles are quantum entangled and things like instantaneous telepathy and magic are possible within the existing naive materialistic framework of science. Wilson and McKenna did cross paths in some ways, so I'm not certain who ran across this idea first.

I always go back to a psychedelic trip i had where i was tripping strongly listening to music and i could see a torus shape with energy coming out of one pole travelling over the surface of the torus and entering the other pole, this seems to be showing me the way energy and mater work it felt like the universe talking to me. I think about that trip a lot, and I've had quite a lot of psychedelics, but that seemed so significant.

I saw something similar. A sort of stereographic projection of a, or the, electromagnetic field. I think the continuous inversion of a 3-sphere is how the universe moves, how information reflects itself, all together all at once. I wish Terence had an opportunity to read Penrose's OrchOR theory, as I think they're talking about one and the same thing.

This talk reminds me of what I've thought for many years and that what is missing in science is an interface between the physical reality, which is purely objective, to our subconscious which may be our only means of travel in a vast universe, where one physical domain is separated by unfathomable distances. It may be the only way to bridge the distance between other intelligences and solve all the problems we have in modern science. A human intellectual space probe so to speak. A remote control biological bridge to higher dimensions that would allow our fragile bodies to remain in the safety of our atmosphere and travel without limitations of speed and distance. After all, our imagination is the only tool we have that can transcend spacetime. Our imagination is bigger than the universe because it can imagine other universes.
@xerotonin6776

I believe you're speaking on meditation. For whatever your personal belief or experience is on meditation, done correct is the place where we can go to perceive the universe while our fragile organic vessels remain safe here. But what most don't know or refuse to want to know is the human must first go down within, confronting all you hide from yourself and others. To identify it, to fight it in order to understand it therefore yourself. Then may we be permitted to go up and out. This is based on my personal perception and experiences. Hope they jive with yours.

I would suggest probably steering clear of Datura though. Besides, in terms of "mapping" I think I already got that one mostly covered anyways. Bold statement, I know but the nightshades really grabbed a hold of me and seemed to have sought me out more than the other way around and gave me the full package. Also, I like alchemy and all but semiotics (ecosemiotics especially) may be a more useful and practical method or field for elucidating that kind of stuff. Hermeneutical Phenomenology as well. Exegesis usually requires an intuitive understanding in Semiotics and Intentionality.

Ever since the last time i ate shrooms I haven’t been the same and it has been both a gift and a curse. More so a gift because I wouldn’t want to go back to how i was before, but i now have a difficult time keeping my attention span on to peoples’ mundane conversations. I usually end up spewing a whole bunch of information, never leaving the topic of conversation, but i try talking so much, in hopes that the other person will just leave me alone. It usually works, but now i have to deal with the problem of self… I’ve recently gotten into non-duality, but i also find a lot of wisdom within the Bible, as counterintuitive as that may seem. It brings me comfort and peace.

It seems to me as if most things in this world could be considered a gift and a curse, depending on your values. To me, an intelligent person is someone who can entertain an idea. This world has two kinds of people. Those who can communicate with all types of intelligent or stupid people, regardless of the subject being discussed and those who can only communicate with others whom they perceive as similar to themself. I'm sure you know which type you are. If you can't kick an idea around with someone, then don't. It should be easy with the right person. Non-duality, I'm assuming you mean a singularity. Consider nothing in this world comes with built-in boundaries and it's the same moment it ever was. It's constant, timeless and unmeasurable as a whole and defies description. I've never read the bible, but if it's good for you. "Mushrooms are like God's little accelerator pad for evolution." -Bill Hicks

I think that could be applied to most intellectual affairs, in the same vein of Socrates claiming to be the wisest man since he knows that he knows nothing. Some butt-scratching apes get endowed with a little extra brain meat and think they’ve solved the mysteries of creation and existence. We’ve taken the profound gift of consciousness, a mirror for the universe to glimpse its own reflection, and fucking shattered it. Let’s put the pieces back together, look and laugh at that strange countenance of ours. Let’s go back to scratching our asses (hell, even sniff your fingertips!! (its okay, i promise)) and copulating wildly beneath star-studded skies. Let’s leave behind our omniscience and renew the primal awe of being. Let’s get over ourselves.

I still believe that "there's nothing in there that doesn't come from in there." Sure, these chemicals produced profound feelings and images in early man, but that must have looked much different from what we see and feel now during these experiences. The early imagination must have had few straight lines and were reflections of their worst fears and greatest hopes. Our experience seemed to have shifted with the advent of modern society and technology, and are now represented by geometry, machina, jewels and structures resembling our cathedrals, mandala and circuitry. Did the addition of DMT and other chemicals in our physiology that resemble chemicals in nature start in the environment and were added later or did our evolution pass them to our environment? Just last night I realized, after turning off the lights, that I could see my arm and hand waving back and forth through my eyelids. Totally straight. Then I closed my eyes as tight as I could but I could still see my hand and arm moving in sync with my movements. It's like Fran Blanche was saying about using mindfulness as a way to calm one's self in the midst of chaos. It's a real phenomenon and I believe all these experiences and capabilities reside within us. We're just too distracted by ego and conditioning to see, hear and feel it.

I’m 9 mins in, He’s discussing the Bohm-ian interpretation, however he doesn’t go into the “Copenhagen” interpretation really, which really has to do with an observer, and an observer’s influence for lack of a better term on an experiment. I’m not sure where he’s pulling the “non local effect” he describes. Or the Everett Interpretation.

To add, he’s referring to “entanglement” which is extremely complex and not well understood as of today

that's true, every " scientific observation " is a process of the inquisitive curious which is the realm of of the mind and and imagination, and that realm is the realm of the mystic. every siectific discovery is done by people who are like that.

The cosmology of the large and small... humans are driven to -- try to -- understand the whole thing as continuous and unified. It's the drive behind both physics and yoga (yoga means "union"). One of the chapters of the Bhagavad Gita is about "The Field and its Knower" :) Science and personal religion (not the social variety of religion obsessed with the sins of other people) -- are just different approaches to the same problems of subjectivity in a unified field. As demonstrated by the word "theory". Good luck finding the etymology of "theory" in a linguistic resource! I learned from the orthodox European tradition that "theoria" means "a space for veiwing God" hahaha Belief is irrelevant

What do you mean belief is irrelevant? Meaning belief can't stand in front of truth?
@haniamritdas4725
@haniamritdas4725 2 жыл бұрын
@@ayesha8809 yes. Much of institutional religion is based on ideas of belief for forgiveness. But religion is clearly about what a person does, not what they have trained to recite as tenets of dogma. How we act says everything about "belief" that is relevant to spirituality in this world. But who benefits from the massive hypocrisy of a populace taught to disconnect faith from action? Not the believers... Interesting, though, that people are so programmed with this concept of belief as the driver of reality, that they think and actually scream about "belief in science". Hopelessly muddled, that.
