Teresa Giudice says serving time in prison was worse than she thought possible. "They made you strip down, squat and cough," she told Inside Edition. She said the experience was humiliating. It was a far-cry from her life of luxury. "The mattresses were disgusting, [they had] urine stains, blood stains," Guidice recalled. The worst part, she says, was the food. I went into a psychiatric ward for depression after the loss of someone closs to me and it was the same the mattresses were stained and the place smelled like urine ,men that had been in there for a long time started sexually harassing me ,by the time I got out i was a million times worse .

I see many comments saying this is what prison should be. If you said or thought that, well you're a bad person. Prison isn't luxury, but it shouldn't be full of disease. Prisons should only have basic sanitary conditions and food that doesn't have maggots. The food can taste disgusting, but not dangerous. The beds can be uncomfortable, but not such a safety hazard. This applies to all inmates. This includes jaywalkers and shoplifters. Also the American prison system makes sure you go to prison again and again. Compared to other countries with much lower recidivism rates, they're much better inb conditions compared to America's.
