indeed! while the intro is structurally & (except for bar 2) harmonically faithful to the original, the ending is slightly less faithful. for me, it made sense to base the intro & the ending on the break -- the part (in the original) where Teresa stops singing for a while. in the break, i changed only the melody; the structure & harmony remain intact.. thanks so much for your kind words! i agree, this love song -- like a second anthem -- will forever unite all Chinese people! .. all the best!!

"家喻户晓，尽人皆知" Translation (more or less): "known to all, common knowledge" ~~ "有如高山流水，大珠小珠落玉盘" Translation (more or less): "it's like (the) flowing water of a tall/majestic mountain, big drops tiny drops big drops tiny drops" Wow, i don't think my arr. can be described more poetically than that! yes, there are some splashes of sound & some delicate cascading figurations..

This is such a classic love song in China - 家喻户晓，尽人皆知。I never took piano lessons, but I can play some pieces of Chopin's (not too well of course :-p). you were never off beat not even once, i can easily sing the lyrics to your piano playing this is the only version i've seen in youtube that can completely synchonize to singing the beats from the other ones usually i find the pauses are too long, they don;t flow nicely damn your're good
