I you use an EZ nut you don't need to cut the mantle. Our EZ nuts use Torque Bolt technology to make mantle changes much easier. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJPUYWN8fLmWaKc

The small studs don't gall in the EZ nut during removal for a liner change?

@@joejenkins4954 The small studs do not gall on install or on removal. They must remove the dirt which was packed but they can typically do that more quickly than cutting the torch ring. During removal many of our customers cut the tips off the stud to relieve pressure. Then the nut backs off easily. There is a 3/4" gap so cutting the tips is pretty quick. They don't reuse the small studs because they have been torqued and used already.
