When I was a young man, the old timers taught me that those Detroit's were designed to be run wide open, all the time. "Don't pussy foot around with that machine boy! Make it do work!" Well...that somehow developed into end of the work week "Scraper Races", across the flat bottom of the landfill that I worked at. And even when something did break, it was super simple to replace, (provided you had a boom lift for the heavy stuff). Terex Pit trucks were beasts too. Got damn I miss that job and those machines. I really did have some sort of feelings for them.

Why do they choose to put a man or woman on a machine to demonstrate that has never operated anything of than a car ??I I were demonstrating this Machine I would of at least self loaded one or two passes to show a interested buyer that it had the capability to do what the machine was designed to do .just driving a unit around and not working it like it was designed to do is a discredit to a potential buyer.
@nemobigiron3 жыл бұрын
You make an excellent point and I agree with you for the most part. But first, to clear things up, that is actually the owner operating the machine. I always like to show as much functionality as possible, but sometimes we are limited by what the seller is willing or able to do. In this case, the location did not allow actually scraping dirt with the machine, as it was filmed in an adjacent farm field not owned by the seller. In other cases, it's just as valuable to see and hear a video of equipment running empty and stationary as seeing it in use. This is a requirement for all operational mechanized equipment we sell. But I also do like to show equipment in use when and where possible.
