I agree with others where the matches where it's edited and cut make it feel like unnatural. I actually had to check to see if I accidently increased the playback speed. It definitely took away from the experience.

An odd case of the front half being more expensive than the back half, and right now there are some really funky interactions with MDFCs. I don't like it. For the same reason you could cascade into tibalt with a 3 mana cascade spell, before they fixed that. Honestly effects that look at cards for information like this need to look at both sides for it, not just the front. That being said... Getting a 5/5 from skyclave is sweet.

I prefer the slower cuts. Just gives me more time to process whats going on. A lot of times I have these videos open when I'm playing, and I look over when I don't have priority. Then game 2 happened, and it was much harder to follow. Just some input for you.

I get why people say this, but there are also plenty of non-eldraine cards and decks running around. Sultai Ultimatum and Izzet Goldspan are both top decks right now ans theyre built primarily around Zendikar and Kaldheim synergies.

@@Cornelius135 I think it's more of people just being so tired of seeing them. Robber of the Rich > Bonecrusher Giant > Embercleave > Great Henge. Deck just barfs on the board. Robber of the Rich on the play game 1 is such a huge advantage and is generally a feels-bad mechanic. So yeah, there are other new sweet decks around. But getting Gruul'd out the same way since October 2019 is old and tiresome.

Yeah, one of the points that I am trying to make is that Eldraine is still very powerful, even after having 6 cards from the set banned. Take any other set from standard and remove their six best cards and where do you sit? There is a complex dynamic of power level and enjoyment of the game.

I GUESS the idea was to be able to hold Heartless Act up until after attacks and not let the Robber draw? But if the point’s not letting the Robber draw, and you already know you’re casting Heartless Act, just cast it before attackers!

The second match is cut way too fast. I am thinking about turn 2 and the game is already at turn 4. I prefer the usual style and pace. The only things you should cut is waiting for server time and roping time of opponent.

I kinda liked that faster pace on that one match. Maybe it could be something between that and real time, so that it doesn't feel too clipped while also cutting the dead time (e.g: when the opponent is roping or waiting for a spell to resolve).

I feel that in a deck like this you should run snow basics. If your opponent sacs/discards a snow payoff you can benefit from it more this way.

The new cuts are good for the most part; one thing i would suggest is that with the way Arena does it's triggers, you *need* to make sure you don't cut out the moment a spell or ability goes on the stack or when a card moves across the screen (e.g. when a card physically moves from the hand, then to the stack, then to the battlefield). There were a few moments where i thought "Wait, where did that permanent come from?" Otherwise i think this style of editing is good for aggro matchups, non-games (mana-screwed/flooded), and drawn out control matchups.

My feedback in regards to the editor's note. Firstly, I noticed some people comment that they like the vids to go slow to analyze Seth's thought process/game strategy. With all due respect, Seth doesn't always take the most optimal lines nor does he flesh out his plays in terms of optimal game theory...which is fine because we're not watching him because he's an elite player, we're watching his content because his brews are entertaining. So respectfully, the people in the comments talking about wanting a slow video pace so they can delve deep into the strategy should perhaps check out a more deliberate and slower player like Reid Duke or Gabriel Nassif. After all, this is an Against the Odds video, not a MPL match breakdown. With that being said, I personally like the sped-up version, but maybe the first match can go normal speed so viewers can get a handle on the deck build and what the deck is trying to do, and then speed up the remaining matches? I think this is the optimal solution, however I also understand that some viewers may find different edit speeds within the same video slightly confusing or disorienting so maybe this isn't a realistic solution. If all the matches within the same video need to be the same edit speed for continuity sake, I think the sped-up version is better because it's easier for someone to rewind a few seconds if they are confused on a game-rule or trigger than it is for someone to watch the entire video 1.25x or 1.5x using the KZbin setting because it distorts the dialogue pretty bad.

Even the turn after, the have 2 planeswalkers on board, the saga, two tokens and the klothys. Mythos of snapdex + soul shatter would have left them with a token and the saga

@@cory5476 2 walkers that relay on creatures to do big stuff and negate the counters of the saga with 2 boardwipas on hand? yeah i belive that was enough for comeback at that point or atleast that was the best lineup of play. it lefts him with tegrit + the giant vs only Klothys and the oponent was force to Giant Killer + garruk anyways so why dont get the best value front tegrit before gets giant killer by drawing 3 cards and maybe grow up the Stomp giant so he can block klthys.

At 1:08:00 I believe the correct line would have been mythos to kill the token kill the God steal the God. Then play accusation expert to get the giant. That ends that turn with the opponent having to chump block tergrid with the last token and only vivian and the saga on the board.

I actually think that Tergrid is FAR better in Abzan, as you can run Eerie Ultimatum to bring back Tergrid + Doom + creatures with etb effects that cause sacrifice/discard, which spikes a ton of power with no chance for an instant-speed response. Also, regardless of whether you are running Mardu or Abzan, you want Elspeth Conquers Death, if only because it lets you resurrect a free Tergrid at the start of your turn, which gives you full mana for discard/sacrifice effects.

Valki is pretty good against Rakdos sacrifice deck. Stealing Kroxa on turn 2 and atack on turn 3 with kroxa with some luck cause to surender by oponent pretty often. Didnt think enchantment that draws cards good if you didnt play Yorion + doomforetold and many others cards that good to blink. Probably Yorion version can be beter. I didnt try Yorion version but have one in work. I was trying different version with Snapdax but they didnt go well. From the other side i have 3 pretty good Tergrid deck (All almost mono black but with Tibalt, One contol version, one agro, one historic control). They not ideal but have a nice winrate at this moment for me.

Couldn't you have improved your chances in game 3 against Naya by: - Casting Mythos to make them sack all but Garruk, Showdown and a beast - Cast shatter to make them sack Garruk? You're then facing of a showdown and a beast. That seems winnable
