I'm not sure I agree with the idea of Six and the Lady's characters being so different that they couldn't possibly be the same person. The Six we see in 1, 2, and VLN seemingly has the ultimate goal of just meeting her basic needs: finding security so that she won't be hurt, and more obviously, her hunger. Once she consumes the Lady, she has the power to protect herself, and she's now surrounded by all the food she could ever want. Her basic needs have been met. After she gets that power, she's free to start focusing on other things. I don't necessarily agree that Six is the Lady or the Lady's replacement, but I think it's an important part of her character growth.

Genuinely I agree with you, that the Lady's vanity just doesn't match Six (especially motif wise, where the Thin Man and Mono at least share their motifs of hats whereas the Lady's Japanese motifs don't match with Six's yellow raincoat). On the other hand, narratively? Six putting Mono in a loop and then herself getting stuck in a loop is narratively delicious. (LN's art community has showed me this)

I think it's more fitting for the consumption side of things if six doesn't become the lady. Reason I say this is it seems like ln2 was more about becoming trapped in a cycle and ln1 seemed more concerned about consuming, which really isn't sustainable forever.

Thank you. That fan theory never made any sense. The LN games have foreshadowing, symbolism, etc., but as you say, they are extremely point-blank and in your face about the meaning of the story and the motivations of the characters. This is not how a writer would compose a story if they meant it to have loads of convoluted backstories and connections. Read that interview, the devs are straight-out annoyed at the idea that the protagonist and antagonist have to be related just because Star Wars etc., No, they're not. the big thing that screams to me that they're at least related is the fact that they have the same power, yes mono and the pretender also have powers but six and the lady have the same one, taking power away from people. six takes a bit of mono's power in two which is how she's able to escape the signal tower through a tv. (note just a bit earlier in the game when thin man takes her we find her in a tv trying to get out and she can't) that could also explain why mono the younger more inexperienced version of himself is able to beat the thin man because he's significantly weaker after six (possibly unknowingly) drains him. the only other time we've seen two people with the same power they were the same person so why is six and the lady just some nonsensical theory?

I think, while the Lady could represent Six's personal nightmare, that she is a completely different person. Mono being the Thin Man seem to have revamp the thought that she could be directly connected, but I feel Dark Six is leading her to the Lady to secure her power because Six lacks it while we see Mono already has his ability. Just because Mono is a time paradox, it doesn't mean Six is too. Plus, we see Monster Six, which looks nothing like the Lady.

I think her journey went from one of survival (LN2) to being driven by the eye/Shadow Six to get more power (LN1), ruthlessly leaving behind/devouring anyone who doesnt benefit her (or the Eye's) quest anymore. That's my speculation anyway! Fingers crossed we'll get some DLC and a third game.

I also had and have the same mind set. I had originally only "dismissed" this theory because I liked the idea of The Lady being Sixes mother and hating/abandoning her in some way, shape, or form, then Six getting revenge. However, this is what I was thinking, and even commenting on an slightly older video (I think it was the timeline one) this exact theory earlier today. So in conclusion: Life is fucking wild, and it appears that I have a somewhat popular opinion. Hell yeah.

@@dumbstuffmask9736 well Mono put her trough a lot of stress, moments after he saves her they get chased by a giant with a bag on his head and a shot gun in his hand, after that she gets captured by the Bullies and tied up so she can die a very horrible death (when body is put upside down all the blood flows to your head and it will eventually explode from pressure) then she gets left alone in an open space when the Doctor is lurking in the halls and finally he destroys her music box; an object she is clearly fond of and thinks is worth protecting. My theory is that from all this stress on top of their daily dose of fear and trauma she got some form of ASPD (probably sociopathy) to cope with this harsh world, by literally just disconnecting from her emotions, and so when you think logically, he just isn't worth the efforts.

I have a theory that isn't about LN2. The Lady, hanging man, girl in yellow, and the pretender lived a normal weird life as a family the girl in yellow was the favorite child so the pretender was jealous. The hanging man killed himself because the lady was controlling, but she thought he killed himself because she was ugly. So she started wearing a mask and consuming children and turning them into gnomes, she accidentally consumed her favorite so in anger and fear she sent the pretender to the nest to be taken care of. and the pretender wears makeup because she thinks her mom sent away because she was ugly. And the girl in yellow had a strong relationship with the teacher so the lady put a curse on the teacher making her have a long neck. Sorry for any spelling errors.

This makes sense and I like it, but there was a painting in very little nightmares that had the pretender, possibly the hanging man, and the teacher, so either the teacher was also a child of the lady, or the teacher, pretender, and the hanging man were the actual family. I do belive that the girl in the paintings in the lady's room were related to her and is probably the first girl in the yellow rain coat, but this message is getting too long so overall great theory, u got a great imagination 👍🏻

Children simply need to stay away from Six. The shouldn’t even associate with her. Every child that trusts Six or at least has a positive opinion of her eventually suffers a horrible fate. The Yellow Raincoat Girl trusted Six, and she fell from the edge of a cliff and to her death while in conflict with the Pretender. The Runaway Kid was kind to Six, and the Governess transformed him into a Nome. Then, when Six found him within the Guest Area, she ripped into his neck and killed him. Mono sacrificed his life on various occasions to help Six in their journey to the Signal Tower. When he brought Six back into reality, she abandon him from within the Signal Tower, which is where Mono spent his entire life alone, eventually becoming a ghostly Thin Man. So, long story short, Six is bad luck.

I have a few points to add this: -The official little nightmares Twitter said that not everyone is trapped in the time loop. While they don’t say WHO is and isn’t trapped specifically, it does debunk the ‘whole world is in a time loop’ theory. -The same interview that said that Six isn’t the Lady’s daughter ALSO said that Six wants to ESCAPE, it didn’t say TAKE OVER -The Lady’s description states that ‘the rumor of an escaped child threatens everything’. If Six was the Lady then wouldn’t they HAVE to let Six get to the Lady in order to not threaten everything? If Six was the Lady then why would her escaping the prison threaten the Maw? -There is an apartment in the Pale City that could have been where the Lady lived before she arrived at the Maw. A room with a photo of the Lady on a nightstand and a little statuette of the Lady on the floor. Plus there are apparently some stuff of the Lady in the hunter’s attic such as a portrait of her and a broken mirror as well as a Nome. If Six was the Lady then why would she go back to the hunter? Hope this further proves that Six isn’t the Lady

You pointed out pretty much all i was thinking when i first saw the “six becomes the lady” theory. -she has absolutely no reason to even become / replace the lady, like you said, she’s completely above the cycle, we even see her at an island at the end of the first game. -she’s always focused on survival, even betraying mono for a better chance at her own survival, why would she worry about beauty or running a cannibalism ship at all?? Im happy with theories but spreading misinformation about how something thats just a theory is canon is not cool.

WARNING: long comment ahead I see little nightmares, as I've mentioned before as a view of our world. Obviously not as bad, but as the game developers wanted it to be, an interpretation. Six represents us, the species that reign over all, that have the most survival instinct,that even if you loved and cared for a person that much, your mind would be selfish and turn to survival instinct. Mono was a boy that represented what happens to a person if you do not turn to instincts, but let it corrupt you. If you really think about it, everything we encounter throughout the games, are people trying to survive. The man that hung himself at the start of little nightmares 1, was a man you couldn't take it. This idea of everyone just trying to survive goes for all the characters, but I won't bore you with going through each one. And the nomes, for me anyways, represent angels that know what happens if you don't react. Anyways, just a theory.

And all that happened in LN2 was all about giant meat calculations trying to kill the Lady. It is not known how many loops took place, but this loop was the success of the meat giant, including the stories in the comic LN1. six is not evil, if she does not let go of mono then there will be loop after loop until she let go of mono. Nothing is coincidental, so remember the tower is a giant meat. it deliberately created such case, six do not let go, six died, mono is still captured, override, continue to wait for the new loop. The giant meat and the Lady are two different powers, the Lady and the teacher are witches. and then, the revenge of the Teacher and the Pretender (now the skeleton that wants to take over the bodies of the children in LN1), continues to be a confrontation with mono (now dominated by the tower. like thin man in LN2), it would be the mistake of giant meat to mono up against six. six saves mono like mono saves six in LN2. And in the end, maybe mono will sacrifice himself to bring the giant meat to another dimension like the website says, the whole world hates him and wants him to fail, but each time won't. we have dlc 3, six can go to that space to save mono or simply eat that lump and become the next Little nightmare like the title with the six in it! Okay I'm five minutes in and something just occurred to me. The yellow raincoat, the one six wears. Some theories some of yours included as I recall state that six had already been to the school and therefore the pale city itself prior to being captured by the hunter. Some I think have even guessed that she lost her raincoat and recovered it when mono took her back into the city. If very little nightmares wasn't canon I'd have thought that to be a stretch but something just occurred to me. The girl in the yellow raincoat is presumably dead and six supposedly took the coat out of the water and adopted it. Wanting to believe that is the only reason I think anyone would question if the raincoat in the pale city is the very same one seen in all three games. However it just made me realize that six is adopting the behavior of the coats original owner. Let's not forget she left six trapped outside the tool shed at the mercy of the butler. And yet six helped her in the end, or so we thought. Perhaps six wasn't actually trying to save the girl, what if she just wanted to kill the pretender? On the flip side what of six forgave the kill and genuinely did just want to help her. If the latter is true then six may have found futility in altruism after everything she'd been through and decided to be ruthless like the coats original owner, or the coat makes her that way if you subscribe to the evil raincoat theory. My point is that it either shows she has a kind heart that become cold due to all she's endured or she has always been a ruthless survivor from the very start and was only using mono right from the beginning. If the latter is true it would explain why she betrayed him, she finally decided he was more trouble then he was worth

Six and the lady suffer from the hunger (because they are the same person), Dave Mervik on a recent interview said that both of them (Mono and Six) end up being prisoners and “not victorious” since they followed the loop, and Six doesn’t escape, she stays there, Why? Because is the only place where Six can survive threw adulthood, she only has to wait for more guests to arrive and she will have no need to “eat” or struggle to survive. The Maw exists because hunger exists and The signal exists because escapism exists.

I've also been one of the few that don't think the Lady and Six are the same, but for various other reasons. The first game was called hunger, and not to get too ... I don't know... debbie downer? But the Lady is a pretty good metaphor for an eating disorder. We never actually see her eat. We see her capture Six and RK, sure, but RK becomes a Nome. Presumably, all her prey does. Her magic doesn't seem to be in absorbing, but transforming. She runs the Maw, another word for a gaping mouth, and feeds the people who come to excess. But she herself is rail thin. Many people with eating disorders get a satisfaction in feeding others, or in abstaining when others don't or can't. And it seems like the people who come here can't. They may eat themselves to death (at which point we can assume the Chefs take them and feed them to the guests who replace them). Her reflection appears hideous and warped, do I need to explain? Her rooms, as far as I can remember, have no food despite it being ubiquitous throughout the Maw. It's stuffed with dress forms, statues, paintings of others, broken mirrors, and lots of books (distractions and fixations). Before Six is taken by the Thin Man, we don't see her display any sort of paranormal abilities. Nor does she seem abnormally hungry. Afterwards, however, she feels empty. Six, unlike the Lady, does not abstain. She doesn't fight off the hunger, she indulges it. She's voracious, and she doesn't find her strength in overcoming it or ignoring it. At the end, she doesn't transform the Lady into something else or a Nome--she straight up eats her. I don't think the Lady is Six--I think she's a metaphor for what Six could have become. In a world where we grow up to be our own worst nightmares at times, Six did not become the Lady. The question remains, is what she DID become, is what she did to escape that fate, worth it? Is what she gained worth what she gave up? Is she satiated, content? Or is she ravenous for more, something bigger to fill the void? We don't really know if she overcame her hunger, fed it, or simply gave in to it completely. Another point of interest that aligns with this idea--it's the TV that changes Six. Media. It's often the first thing to chip the armor of people, young girls especially, before issues with food, emptiness, body, and society come pressing in. So it's an interesting catalyst for her own hunger. Even though she escaped her hideous fate, does she still see herself as a monster? I also dont' think she walked away easily from Mono. If you look at her, she doesn't move quickly. And the further she gets, the more she hunches in on herself. It just never came off as joyous or vindictive to me, or she'd walk with her head up and her back straight. Instead, she seems to regret it pretty quickly. As for why she drops him, idk. Anyway~ My boss said if I do a theory video for our channel on LN2, they'd play it. Maybe I'll take this essay of a comment and do something with it. But even if I don't, I'm just super glad I'm not the only one who doesn't jive with the Lady = Six theory. There's too much tonal and themed dissonance between the two, I could never get behind it.

My theory on Six’s identity is that the girl who originally owned the yellow raincoat was the girl in the picture and in some way is connected to the geisha. Maybe that girl was being raised to become the next geisha but that’s a bit of a stretch. However it’s important to note that the runaway girl that the runaway kid follows in the DLC looks very similar to the girl in the portraits, but unfortunately we have no clue who that girl was and she presumably dies early in the DLC. I think Six is an outlier in whatever “cycle” people think is happening. I don’t think Six was originally supposed to take the powers of the geisha, but I do think she has doomed her fate to become just as monstrous

I agree with this! The Lady and Six seem so different from each other. I love how you said, "Six is above the cycle," and that makes her so much more unpredictable and frightening. I also don't think the Thin Man and Mono are the same person in one time loop. This is more or less just a hunch; I don't have extensive knowledge of the game to back it up. Personally, I think Mono simply replaces the Thin Man, who was once a different child. If there are multiple Monos in a time loop, then what of Six? If she's in a time loop too that would strengthen the theory of her being The Lady, as she would have to be with Mono every time he loops. Just a thought though, I'm not looking for arguments.

Yes! I believe it was that very community post that I had commented this on, but my thoughts were pretty much a “same message different words” type of thing. Essentially my take was: Six can’t be the Lady because (1) Six has hardly any reason to stay on the Maw, let alone run it. After all she’s been thru, I doubt she’d actually turn back into the hell that she crawled out of. (2) her motives seem very different. I honestly think Six (at least for now) simply wants to survive. (3) their powers are very different. I currently speculate that the Lady’s powers are transformative and that Six doesn’t really have a power of her own, but can copy and use the power of others. (4) there’s a chance that even if she wanted to, Six might not be able to run the Maw. I’m speculating as well if the Maw requires a manager with a specific kind of power -and if my stance on Six’s power have any credibility, then even if she used the Lady’s power it would eventually fade (referencing Six’s description for LN2) and she’d have to leave to seek another strong ability; therefore, Six running the Maw is impossible. (5) you kinda pointed it out (thankfully 😅) but to reiterate, just because some of the characters look similar doesn’t mean there’s a connection. After all, Mono and the RK look very similar, and the Girl in the Yellow Raincoat also looks pretty similar to the Runaway Girl (as I can recall), but just because they look similar, doesn’t mean they’re related. I honestly headcanon the world of LN to be relatively homogeneous tbh, but even then we’ve only seen a handful of characters so I digress. Case in point, Six is more likely NOT the Lady.

Technically Six is stuck in a loop. She’s stuck in the time loop Mono creates every time he grows up as the thin man and goes back in time to stop that from happening. Sense Six exists in that time line she’s forever stuck in it due to the fact it’s impossible to escape a time loop because of it’s nature. So by the time she and Mono are adults the loop starts over again.

I actually agree with this; the devs have said Six isn't The Lady's daughter, but then what about the pictures of a young girl in a yellow coat that we clearly see in The Lady's home? Considering the Raincoat Girl appeared to be on the run from something (she literally arrived in The Nest by crashing in a hot-air balloon, something a random kid wouldn't just find anywhere), it's likely that _she_ is The Lady's daughter who was raised in The Maw but ran away when she discovered, y'know, all the child murder and soul-eating happening behind the scenes. Upon her tragic death, her raincoat floats to the Pale City where it's picked up by Six who takes it to remember her first friend.

My theory is that what if Thin Man took Six to the Maw after dragging her into the TV? That could explain how she got into the Maw. And since her shadow fragment(?) was already separated from her by then, it can also explain her hunger in the Maw. After taking the lady's power, she got confident to take on the Signal Tower and went to Pale City, hence we see so many bodies in the hospital and other places as they were k*lled by Six. Then she reached the Signal Tower but was defeated, presumably by Thin Man who took away her power, and imprisoned her in the Tower where she was alone and slowly turned into Monster Six. After a period of time, Mono came to rescue her. What if she let Mono fall because she thought that if Mono dies then the time paradox will be broken? I know there may be a lot of holes in this theory but since the time itself is broken.....

I've seen people trying connect Six and The Lady with the beginning scene and the end scene where each turn around slowly, but I wanna bring up a detail about those two moments that I have not seen anyone else mention. At the start of the game, The Lady turns over her RIGHT shoulder to look at us; at the end, Six turns over her LEFT shoulder to look at us. This is deliberate. They didn't reuse The Lady's animation with Six’s model. No, they specifically animated her to turn the opposite direction. If they were the same person, I would think they would turn the same way, but they don't. Maybe because they different people. Also, side note, Six didn’t have a confirmed gender in the beginning (they often used she/her; they also sometimes used he/him; at times, they didn’t confirm which gender she is. She was neutral at the start, but was later officially called a girl.). How could someone so neutrally gendered turn into someone else with a very gendered title/name? To add onto your idea that the Lady used to be a mother, I did come up with an idea (not necessarily a theory though.) Perhaps one of the many reasons she attacks six is because she wants the raincoat back. If she had a daughter who wore that raincoat, surely it would be very important to her. She could be enraged that you have something dear to her. In addition, we know that Very Little Nightmares takes place before any of the games. IF the girl with the yellow raincoat is the lady's daughter (or even a child who obtained the raincoat of her daughter) then Six (or another child who makes it to the city and leaves it if the kid at the end of vln isnt six) could have gotten it that way. This raincoat could be something special. Even powerful. Meaningful. Just an idea. Could very easily be debunked. I'm not even sure if I'm 100% on it, but it popped in my mind!

I'm glad someone finally looked at Six's future from another perspective. I have been annoyed from all of the people thinking Six is the Lady, cause I feel like there is just so much more potential for her if she wasn't. A bunch of people think Six would really stay at the Maw and do nothing but read books and groom her hair for the rest of her life, when she has the whole world to explore. Though I will admit I have also been a bit of a burden to those people as well, but to the point where I have nothing to watch but the Gacha club "Mono and Six reunion" videos (No offense to people who like Gacha club,) the fanart edit videos, and theories I just don't see happening. It's seriously irritating. I'm glad there is finally an escape from all the "Six-Ladyers" out there. I'm normally down for letting people think what they want to think, but here it's just getting out of hand. Six never left the maw, in my opinion. And the ship that can be heard at the end of the game is just the next batch of guests for her to eat. After all, why leave a place that now bends to your will? The maw is the perfect place for someone with such a big hunger. The portrait of the lady and the girl, to me seems like a possible before and after of six. Honestly though, I’m surprised no one can see a glitch of six on the bridge where mono got dropped. She sitting by the Tv portal away from what’s happening.

I don’t know if she is the Lady or not, but it’s kinda cute thinking about this theory. I really love her being the Lady, but if it turns out isn’t this way, like when many of us once believed she’s the Lady’s daughter, then it’s also fine. The developers will give us a more satisfying plot about her background, if we could ever have Little nightmares 3.

Have you ever thought about exploring the relationship between the children and adults in the LN universe? A terrible violent one that it is. In the first comic series, the story about the North Wind mentions that the children were from a village where the adults gave them small talismans to keep them safe from the North Wind. Meaning, at some point these children were loved. After their village is destroyed by the North Wind, they're denied entry and even chased off by a neighboring town's villagers. I was thinking on that, maybe it implies children are so hunted because they're the favorite prey of the worst monsters/entities in that world. Children were raised aboard the Maw (seemingly so anyway) but the Maw was stated as the Lady's refuge from the chaotic mainland. Perhaps meaning that she and her workers would be the biggest monsters on it, evading others, never surfacing in the same place twice, keeping their "food supply" away from even worse things. Until Six of course. The Ferryman is...confusing though, he doesn't seem to want children for himself. He seems to enjoy the hunt but still delivers them to the Maw. Him offering the sole survivor of the North Wind a choice by only extending his hand is also confusing. Maybe it's a part of whatever game those two seem to be playing. Also, an aside, regarding Six's monster form, I'd always favored the idea that part of why she's like that is her attempting to hold on when she was pulled through the "meat tube" in the TV. Mono went with it and it was a place he likely had some control over so he was okay. Six escaped the Thin Man once (perhaps only as a ploy on his part), maybe being alone there without any protection from the Thin Man/Mono's powers had a terrible effect on her. Her arms are long because she held on, fighting the pull of that tube, legs because the Thin Man mercilessly pulled on her which in turn broke them all. She's broken and elongated because she fought however she could. It's magnetic like pull twisted and elongated her just like it did to all of Pale City. Sorry if you covered any of it already and I just missed it.

I do really like your take on the "cycle" in the first Little Nightmares (gave me some chills ngl), and while that was what, for me, cemented the idea that Six was more then just a kid version of the Lady, I think the argument about them having different traits falls a bit flat since the same can't be said with Mono becoming the Thin Man (which is the whole basis of the theory). Even if we were to say that Mono is just a replacement and not the same person, very distinct changes can be seen through the timelapse of his transformation (Mono that we love > devastated by betrayal > depressed and tired > refined, yet cold and "of malicious intent"). It was made a point here that from one form to the other, the characters become different--- which makes sense since adults aren't really the same as they were when they were kids, whether that be for better or for worse.

as you can see in the dlc your controlling runaway boy and there is a time where he has to go and choose the right paintings to open the door, one of the pictures is the teachers from NL2, my theory is that six can be the lady and put up pictures of people she met before. also with monster six, in the tower thing the room she is in has dolls which the lady has in her room, as well as the wall paper is the same as the lady's wall paper. the lady also sings the same tune from the music box i believe.

I wonder how Six could have known about the Lady because she had a nightmare about her in the beggining of the game. Since they are not family, it means that they were aware of each other in the beggining. But how? Possibly because Six was being tortured with hunger by her shadow in order to make her kill the lady. Then maybe becoming worse than all the monsters she encountered and powering the signal tower with her evilness.

Fun thing is that there's an higher chance for the loop to end if the thin man didnt do anything but since the thin man exist that means that the first time (before the loop started) something happened anyway so maybe even doing nothing could be useless but if mono becames the thin man anyway that means that there could be 2 thin mans and many more, final thing to ask is how did the loop created? And probably it exist because six did something with the power she stole from the tall lady. So yes i think little nightmares 3 will be a thing but we dont know who we are gonna play, since mono is the thin man and six has those powers i think we might be a random kid who tries to stop six and maybe end the loop

And all that happened in LN2 was all about giant meat calculations trying to kill the Lady. It is not known how many loops took place, but this loop was the success of the meat giant, including the stories in the comic LN1. six is not evil, if she does not let go of mono then there will be loop after loop until she let go of mono. Nothing is coincidental, so remember the tower is a giant meat. it deliberately created such case, six do not let go, six died, mono is still captured, override, continue to wait for the new loop. In LN3, it will be a journey to rescue mono after six knows the truth (eat The Lady and have her memories). is the revenge of The Teacher and the Pretender (now the skeleton in comic 1, trying to take over the bodies of the kids, i think), and the next is a confrontation with mono (being in the tower control). and maybe that would be the giant meat's mistake to let six go head to head with mono, six saves mono as mono saved six in LN2. And in the end, maybe mono's sacrifice to carry giant meat to another dimension like the website description says the whole world hates him and wants him to fail, but this time it doesn't. we have dlc 3 so that namdai banco makes some extra money, six go to that space saves mono or simply eats that meat and becomes a little nightmare like the title has six in it.

I HAVE A THEORY: Ok, what if the girl in the picture beside the lady is the main character in Very Little Nightmares AND the mysterious girl in Little Nightmares DLC. I think that someone already made a theory saying that the girl in the yellow raincoat came from The Maw, somehow tried to escape from there and accidentally ended in the location of Very Little Nightmares, then she seems to die by the fall with The Pretender or drowned in the ocean and only her raincoat survived, but What if somehow she survived the fall too? Yes, only her raincoat is showned but that is exactly why maybe she did survive, these games aren't afraid of showing kids' deaths so why didn't they show us her body floating upside down or something? Also, the girl has braided hair, but if you look to the upper part of it it does seem similar to the upper part of the hair of the girl that's in the photo with the lady. Now, I think that she somehow survived and got trapped in the maw again, and when we are playing as The Runaway Boy in the DLC, the girl that we are able to see in a few scenes also seems to have braided hair in a very similar way to the Girl in the Yellow Rincoat had, the main difference is that she no longer has her yellow raincoat, why? because she lost it in the fall and the ocean probably washed it away. She obviously already had some sort of knowledge of the Maw so that's why it was easier for her to try to escape again, and could also explain why she suddenly disappears in the dlc, most of us taught that she was killed by something or someone, but maybe she already knew a different way out, or a tunnel or something like that because she had already been there. So to rapped things up, I think that maybe this is how things went down: We have this girl (Which I'm going to name Yellow for practical purposes) which lives with her mother in this hideous place called the Maw. Her mother do loves her, but she is slowly becoming mad over her appearence, also she does terrible things to other kids in this place and Yellow decides that she doesn't want to live like that. So she creates a plan and succesfully scapes, leaving her mad mother behind; the mother mourns this but is more concerned about her appearence and control over the maw, so she just leaves pictures of her daughter around to remember her, and maybe even the dolls help her cope with this. Anyways, the girl accidentally gets stuck in this other horrible place and the events of Very Little Nightmares take place. She fall off the cliff and seem to die but somehow she manage to survive, just loosing her coat in the process. Yellow then probably went through something more before falling to the hands of the Ferryman, who didn't kow she was the daughter of the lady so he just leaved her with the rest of the kids. Thanks to her previous knowledge of how the maw worked she managed to escape from the first part at least (that is when we are able to see her in the DLC), and I hope (I REALLY REALLY HOPE) that she managed to scape safe and sound. I need at least one happy ending T-T EDIT: I know that this is already too long but I wanted to add one last thing. In the DLC one of the most important elements of the game is water, it plays a very important role in the mechanichs of the game, so the fact that the Girl in the yellow raincoat last scene was falling to WATER seems to gives us a small hint that her journey could continue in the DLC. Is not a very strong correlationship but I think it wrapps up things pretty neatly.

Actually the interview heavily implies that six is still on the maw at the end. The horn could simply be the maw going back in the water since it was said to resurface every 100 years . Plus you could argue that Thin man is very different to Mono after all can you say that you yourself is the exact same you were when you were a child ?

I think her story in the first game was to go to the Maw satiate her hunger and leave but in a cruel twist of fate was only lured in to take the place of the decaying monster she had nightmares of. But that's just a in a nutshell version of my interpretation of the story.
