Assuming you’re referring to James at 8:25. In that case, if you have money goals that are within 3 years, you should keep the funds in a high yielding savings or a normal transactional account. The reason for this is it’s hard to predict what’s going to happen over the short term, so mitigating your risk is important against short term market fluctuations is important. Hope this helps!

Hey boys, I know this video is quite old but I was curious as to your guy's opinion around the risk of a short term Term Deposit (1 year). Also outside of credit ratings for the particular bank how would you guys measure the risk of a term deposit.
