Funny, your reaction was exactly why they did it. They don't like writing predictable anything. The fact you would have expected it to keep going (that everyone would have expected it to do one thing) means they basically were guaranteed to do something else.

I had the opposite reaction to that guitar section. I thought it fit perfectly and gave me goosebumps the first time I heard. To each their own, but the test of the song is 🔥🔥

Good reaction Bud 👌🏻 I'm torn on the subject of the guitar interlude. I am going to see if it grows on me. The chorus is great, the verse is great. I like the use of space creating suspense. I can't wait to enjoy the whole album. 🤘🏻

EVERY band is doing the brutal predictable brake down - at least this was different. People seem to stick in a jarring brake down for the sake of it these days - snooze - at least this was slightly more origional

Right there with you. It would’ve made more sense if that random guitar interlude was more involved and had more going on. But it was just like 10 notes lol. Great song otherwise though

Nah, it fit for the song I feel. The song has a beautiful flow. I think if it went any longer it would’ve just changed the entire flow of it. I like that pause there and that short interlude before it kicks back in.

Yup, I thought the same thing. That jarring cut off made no sense to me at all. BofS has a lot of songs that have jarring transitions out of a break down back into the song but this was on another level of awkward.

My thoughts about guitar is exactly. Perfect song up until that guitar little part. It was unnecessary in my opinion. All tho I'm not musician, but I feel from my gut that I know what I'm talking about... somehow. But yeah, cut that guitar moment and this would be amazing song. Heck, it is cool song, but not amazing just because that one moment.
