Saw and heard these guys for the first time, back in 2019 when supporting Fields of the Nephilim. Amazing performance and songs. Really sad they disbanded, I was hoping to catch them live again.

This song is epic and is one of the reasons why i love modern goth bands taking the classic sound and creating something modern & fresh. Keep up the good work guys you seriously rock :)

Sharing the "Best The Sisters of Mercy Clone" award with Dr. Arthur Krause. Both deliver fantastic music that heats the dance floor and chorus lines easy to remember and sing to.

Very good gothic band! Eldritch is an inspiration for the most gothic singers. I don't have problems with that. I love Merry Thoughts too.

When The Merry Thoughts appeared on the scene in the beginning 90ies everybody said they are a SOM copy but anyway a lot of people liked them and their records are now quite rare. The same with this band. They are GREAT but you will always find anyone who says it's a Sisters copy when you're making such music!

"Goth" is such a fluid concept but so many of the "old timers" have forgotten that it's about expressing your individuality. Any goth band gets SoM or FotN thrown at them for reference but it just means that if you remind someone of that then you're at the root of what's considered "goth". Sounds to me like you guys are staying true to the original goth but sticking your own spin on it. As you should do, make yourself unique. You sound great! Try to get yourselves up to the Whitby Goth Weekend, even if it's just for a visit but you should really be headlining up there next year. Go to the WGW website and contact the people who run it and get yourself right into the heart of the goth scene. We'd love to see you there.

Definitely not the depressive deep esoteric postpunk side of the classic gothic music of the 80s, but we should remember that since the 90s and on, the gothic culture began manifesting in so different styles of music, appearing such a diversity of subgenres and fusions with their respective fans and all of them claiming to be goths in their own way, so is our desicion if we take this stuff or the other. i personally love the 80s style but this band is not bad at all, and of course are obvious influences from the sisters and even from the jesus and mary chain but analyzing deeper their music, we see they are also influenced by r'n'r or hard rock such as the spanish band Heroes Del Silencio did in the 90s. in summary i'd say this is some r'nr/hardrock oriented gothic band with sisters of mercy, lords of the new church, jesus & mary chain, etc. influences. ;)

LOL, this is supposed to be goth music? Calling pop-punk "emo" is more accurate than calling this goth OR dark. This sounds like 80s/90s pop with a deep voiced singer... 😕
@terminalgods9 жыл бұрын
+James Lewis Dude, chill. We're not calling it anything. Some goths dig it, which is cool, but its SUPPOSED to sound like pop music.
@jlewwis19959 жыл бұрын
+terminalgods Lol I am chill. I was just bringing the songs "gothness" into question since A) iirc it was on a goth music playlist, and B) that's what people in the comments section were calling it. Although to be fair to you guys, its closer to actual goth than say Evanescence or Marilyn Manson, so you have that going for you
@terminalgods9 жыл бұрын
I think, like many goths, you seem slightly preoccupied by what people do, or don't, call Goth. Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns on Terminal Gods video releases. May we recommend you check out some of our later material, where we rip off many different musical styles fairly comprehensively, but still get called a goth band in every third comment? You can purchase our latest single "Road Of The Law" over at www.terminal-gods.co.uk. If you'd like us to make any further musical clarifications, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Yours Terminal Gods. ps Our favourite goth band is Motorhead

Goth =/= dark, bands like Ghost Dance and Gene Loves Jezebel are considered traditional Goth bands and yet they sound like pop.
@ip12615 жыл бұрын
The weak point of this band is the voice. Please stop trying to sing like Sisters. Sing higher, it fits the music much better. It would be so cool to play your music in the club, but Oh Boy, not until you get the singing right. It sounds forced and boring. It would be amazing to hear you sing higher, in this song especially.
