Alzheimer's is a devastating journey of deterioration. Quality of life continuously diminishes, confusion, loneliness and fear set in, mobility and independence decline, and dignity is lost. When my mom crossed the awful point of no longer being able to to find any joy in her very reduced life, she would not have been able to give her confirming consent. Despite knowing her wishes, I was left to pray that something else would take her before Alzheimer's could. Loosing someone you love for any reason is an agony. If they are suffering, it is so much worse. If the suffering is relentless and unending, it is an unspeakable torture for the both person themselves, as well as their loved ones who must helplessly bear witness. What a terrible thing that we tolerate and protect such a diminished and painful end without any choices. Don't judge someone for having a different opinion when you haven't walked in their shoes.

Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease that took my grandad and continues to grab a hold of my Nan. It may sound terrible to people but I am a firm believer in what this man is doing this should be legal in the UK and potentially free. If I ever get diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I will take my own life before it can take me and I hope that god will forgive me

What does he expect when he is dead? Is he an atheist? Eternity is forever.

You completed eternal oblivion when you were born and yet nobody complains about their experience before they were born. So why worry about doing something that uou have already done and have no complaints about?
