You don't really notice it when the goodguy T800's are doing it, but Terminators really love tossing things/people around. It's been a staple of their combat style since the first movie. I have to admire the consistency.

Not really in T1 he did it when needed, when he threw the punk at the beginning it was cause..he had a knife and Arnold needed his skin undamaged, when he threw Matt it was cause Ginger (who he thought was Sarah Connor) couldn’t hear the fight or to the Terminator his mission would be compromised.

It makes sense when the T800s are doing it to other Terminator models since like them they’re just as durable and a simple stab or bullet won’t do much.
@anonamouse59176 ай бұрын
Sometimes they do it to stretch out scenes. In Salvation the legless T grabbed John and threw him (to safety?). If it wanted a quick guaranteed kill it would have hung on and crushed whatever part of him it had, then grab another part and crush that.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I love the portrayal of the T800 in salvation more then any other film. It’s a lethal and scary killing machine, it’s super powerful and stupidly hard to kill. It takes them so long and it literally takes another terminator to take down just 1 of them. That T800 and T1s T800 are the best

@Fbiguy11 ай бұрын
I agree with the idea of this, my problem is that the T-800 in salvation also somewhat betrays the tenets of what made it terrifying in the first terminator. It throws John and Kyle around instead of outright killing them with its bare hands like it does with the goons in T1. It also on multiple occasions throws away loaded weapons it could use against them, or calmly strolls towards John when it has him cornered, giving him time to find a way to prolong the fight. This is all fine and dandy with your regular movie monster, but that's what really made the terminator stand out in T1 is the way it held nothing back when trying to get to its target and kill it by any means necessary.

The police station shootout in T1 was pure genius because if there was ever a place in which you should feel safe, it’s that place. But by completely incapacitating all the cops, the T-800 established that there’s no safe haven for a target, by running you’re simply delaying the inevitable.

The newer movies is too modern where it doesn't have the same impact, from the sound effects to the overused of CGI making them not as impactful and pales in comparison to the original movies. In T2, the terminator also had an alternative power source that reactivated it after the T-1000 stabbed it with that sharp pole and in T3 the terminator also showed the power cells in its chest as well as the ones in Terminator Salvation. In addition it didn’t mention the rest of the weapons being used in T3, Genisys, and dark fate, as well as the pistol in the terminator and t2 when it shot the t-1000 before fighting it in the steel mill

In T2 they implied the T800’s reserve power source was a backup but in T3 they outright stated it was a 2nd full power cell in the updated T850 series units. I personally think that the T-RIP (The prototype Terminator in T: Salvation), is the strongest Model 101(?) from the bunch. It's not the exact same model that's mass produced for the war, and since the Salvation timeline doesn't seem to have plasma rifles. As far as I could see and dig into the LOOOOOOOOORE of the film, and anything connected to said film. Though, I may have missed something. So, there wasn't much John could do to it, besides relying on heavy weaponry. Plus, if you look closely at its chassis, it looks more sturdy and "full" I guess? Might be reinforced armor that was supposed to be put into the T-800 like how Skynet most likely intended. If it would have focused its resources into it... it would allow the "foot soldier" T-800s to shrug off several direct hits with 40mm grenades. Imagine a large number of the initial model's resistance coming at you and your squad, good thing humans kept going at Skynet, so it had to make the T-800 models we all know and love. 💀 No plasma weapons means that humans can do so very little with contemporary artillery against an army of heavily armored cyborgs. But man, it's sad that Arnie won't get to use the 40-Watt Range Phased Plasma Rifle though. :( (Thanks for reading my yapping btw🤓)

My name is Ali and I am a Muslim from the Shiites of Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, from Iraq, the city of Mosul, from the Shabak component. I am sending this message to Christians. The reason is that I want their interests, and this is my message. Since you see many religions in this world of ours and you ask yourself: Am I following the correct religion or wrong? What if you brought together all the people and each person was from a different religion and asked each one of them: Are you following the correct religion? He will tell you: Yes, I am following the correct religion, but you do not know who. He follows the correct religion and you are one of them and you will say I am. On the correct religion, you are not on the correct religion. After that, each one of you asks, for example, the Jew asks the rabbi, the Buddhist asks the Buddha, you ask the priest, and others will ask the same question: Am I following the correct religion? Each of you got the same answer.Yes, you are on the correct religion, but who is on the correct religion? Do you know? You will say, I and every one of you also said, “In your opinion, who is on the correct religion?” If you want to know, you will know in one way. The Lord is behind you, and He provides for you, and He protects you from every evil. He is your Lord, He loves you. What? If you ask God about your religion, is it fake or not fake, and which religion is true? Do you think about one day asking God? Think carefully. Ask God. Do not remain like this. I advise you to do so.

I been a diehard terminator fan since childhood in the early 90’s & I wanted nothing more than future sequels to the best action movie ever made. I remember hearing rumors about potential T3/T4/T5 & wondered what kinda new awesomeness we would see… now 30 years later I wish those “sequels” never even happened cuz they were just chop suey in a blender of the previous plot points lacking the same originality if any. What’s sad is all these “sequels” contain some decent ideas (except killing off John) but devolve into increasingly played out tropes presumably as fan service homages but are just sad self parodies to the true fans.

And why, since he's a Terminator, didn't he kill the bar guys at the beginning of T2?
@dannygibb605 Жыл бұрын
he was simply trying to obtain clothes and a vehicle and also had no weapons. It's also likely that the terminator deduced the bar was too public to go on a killing spree. Had he killed the bikers, any witnesses would go to the authorities and this would seriously hinder him at the start of his mission. If you look, at the point that he decides to attack the biker, an "Inhibit Setting 8" command kicks in. Whether this was set by Future:John or whether it's part of his attempt to avoid damaging the clothing is unclear but there's certainly something blocking him from committing unreserved violence.

People gave salvation so much crap but it was the only one in the series that gave us a post-apocalyptic movie❤ it also showed us how John got his scar. I also noticed how Kyle didn't really understand how the t800s work all the way in the original because notice how he told Sarah "he had to wait for the Terminator to move on her" meaning that he didn't get to see the original t800s face (Arnold's) because John blew it off with the grenade launcher. It also shows how he easily knew what a 600 series was since he fought one with Marcus as a child.

I thought the t800 power cell (or dual cells in the 850 series as we learned in t3) was located in the chest center mass under the sternum, not where the human heart is located. Also the coltan/ titanium alloy combat hyper-chassis is intended to resist nearly all “small” conventional munitions aside from high explosives/ incendiary/ armor piercing/ depleted uranium rounds. A terminator’s real foe is ironically Liquid Metal but not a T1000, instead it’s gallium which is known to slowly eat thru most other metals & alloys like water thru tissue. 😅

Well, it's a huge ass .50 cal armor piercing round, which can even penetrate small afvs. Here is the lengthy explanation: While T-800s are extremely resistant to small arms fire up to and including 5.56mm NATO assault rifle rounds, . 50 BMG sniper rifle bullets are sufficient to penetrate their armored Combat chassis, capable of disabling or even decapitating a T-800 with a single perfectly-aimed shot.

1:43 I gotte be honest, if I saw Arnold in his prime standing over my bed with his fist raised, I'd have jumped through the window and off the balcony myself. This kid belongs in the halls of Valhalla.

Arnold is somehow even cooler than his character. The man was a hell of a governor in commifornia. Miss that guy. He’s a true American.

It's so weird, the screen just goes completely blank at 9:57 even though the video is 27 minutes long. It's almost like there should be more Terminator related footage here, but I see nothing.

Something I've always wanted to see is the Arnold skin Terminator WITHOUT the skin completely. Bare skeleton, but still acting like Arnold and being protective. We've never actually seen that.
