Despite how unnecessary it is for this movie to exist, I can't deny the action scenes and fights between terminators are always really fun to watch. The part where they repeat the start of the first movie but have an older T-850 model of Arnold fight the younger Arnold was cool as hell.

Both of them were T-800's......only difference is, one has seen more action/ware and tare than the other which is why the 1984 Terminator gained the upper hand, because of its lack of much needed mechanical maintenance.

I guarantee you will get nothing of that caliber from a gunsmith in 1984, with no discernable identity such as Kyle's lack thereof. And good luck robbing a gun store of all places.

What sucked about the scene is they refilmed the 3 punk dudes....the great Bill Paxton was originally the punk in the middle that made the Six Pack Comment and the only one left standing and gave Arnold his clothes....and it was a military coat, not a leather jacket as the guy in the middle is wearing in this scene.

By far Terminator Genisys is the best Terminator movie ever made. It's concept of making "sudden" big changes to the timeline even made critics think twice before criticizing. People wanted something different and they got it. But it's sad it won't have any other continuing storyline 😔😔😔
