I believe the two moto-terminators goal is to track the get away humans. The secondary objective appears to be stopping the humans by firing at the truck. But I believe these are likely designed to mostly track and follow. This is because the Harvester ship and HK both find the truck on the bridge despite having driven very far away from the attack scene. Its likely the moto-terminators have a tracking system onboard so the HK or Harvesters can find them. Another possibility for the Moto-Terminators not opening fire much could be down to power consumption. We see a majority of Terminator units still use human standard bullet guns and not laser blasters. The blasters are mostly seen on larger units like Harvesters, HK's, and Torrents. Considering this is also the early days of SkyNet its extremely likely the moto-terminators only has a very limited amount of power to use blasters like these on such a small infiltration unit.
@paulocarvalho78778 ай бұрын
According to canon, the mototerminators' purpose is to roundup fleeing humans so the Harvester can catch up and collect them. They attack seeking to disable the vehicle instead of outright destroying it.

How is an AI-controlled gyrostabilized motorcycle more advanced than an 18-meter-tall titan with a long-range plasma cannon?
@eanna37818 ай бұрын
It's not practical to make everything hyper advanced, Skynet would be constantly recalling all units for upgrades whenever it discovered something new that could be implemented. My theory is that the harvesters are newer and fewer in number and specific for a simple task, and were equipped with the existing moto-terminators to mitigate the spread of knowledge about them, as the movie does establish the harvesters to be part of a secret program by skynet.
Weird isn it. The ones back then look nore real. I saw a scifi movie onCW with top notch CGI, years ago. Looked so real.

Gotta love Mc G. Dude has an eye & ear for action sequences, sound design, & flair. Music videos, Charlie’s Angels 1 & 2, The Babysitter, and Terminator: Salvation just to name a few. Watching the motorcycle take out the FK Carrier port side engine is pure gold, er’ry time.

Honestly the mechanical robot sounds, no music blaring in the background, a really cool scene that doesn’t feel like some forced big cinematic moment

In 2024 this movie still holds up. Might I say better than most current movies. God the 2010s really had a magic I didn't realize till it's gone. Now it's all woke this race that.

I know this movie is kind of polarizing, but if nothing else I really liked how they portrayed the war of the machines after Judgement Day. The flashbacks to that time in the previous movies and TV show were some of my favorite parts of the franchise, and I’m honestly surprised it took them this long to make a movie set in that time period. The time traveling aspect of Terminator is kind of tapped dry at this point, but I think another movie set after Judgement Day could actually be pretty good, if for no other reason than fighting big robots is fun to watch.

This is the best action sequence in any Terminator since T2. I also miss Anton Yelchin. In the end, he was killed by a machine.
@096giovadale7 ай бұрын
I've never understood and never will, why people didn't like this movie. It has good special effects (way better than today's), some interesting characters, interesting action sequences, it's the only Terminator movie that tried to push the story in a new interesting direction, it's the only sequel that doesn't seem a parody of T2. It's clearly not on the same level of the first two, but it's CLEARLY the only good Terminator movie after T2.

It was a good as an idea to offer a separate story to the main one, like a Rogue One for the Star Wars. But the problem really IMHO is that Marcus was so high tech and yet so easily going rogue...

@paristo7 ай бұрын
@@BrutalFoX. It is question of the relativity. If you are an alien that meets four astronauts on the moon, and you have never met a humans or know their existence, you will judge humanity based to those four person. But if you later on see a bunch of angry mob on earth rioting etc, you will judge the whole humanity differently, but as well you will judge those four individuals differently. So when there was just a Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 for long time 1985-2003, that is 18 years, you only knew that there is two movies and the second one was better than first one. And in the movie industry, the Terminator 2 is considered one of the rare movies where the successor to first one is better. Only very few ones has managed to do that. So now when 2003 the Terminator 3 was released, it was with totally new angle to ruin the Terminator 2 even. A cheap shot if you will. A new photography, a new actor for John, a unknown woman character that is more important than John, try to be clever funny with original cast members as Arnold and Earl, and then just totally new terminator that was so overpowered that it is stupid how it failed by any means, considering that T1000 was already a major threat but with clear vulnerabilities. But when these new movies were made and rolled out, more and more stupid got out and you start to see that the T3 wasn't the worst.... The same thing is example with the Predator and Alien movies. The Predator 2 is better many ways, but first is iconic. But after all kind reboots of the Predator, nothing is beating 1 and 2. How many remembers when Alien 3 got out? 1979 Alien 1986 Aliens 1992 Alien 3 The Alien is still the best of all, the Aliens is still with idiotic story line and characters, but second best because it is as well closer to original than anything after that. I yesterday watched Alien 3, last time seeing it maybe 1995 or something. And it was as bad as I recalled, a horrible visual effects for Alien, a low effort location, unimportant characters and events, and it really did not add a thing to whole Alien or science fiction. But boy is it a better than anything that came after it.... And I am actually waiting that Alien 3 would get a remaster version, where all the visual effects are redone with modern graphics capabilities, as it is so damn ugly to see a green cardboard alien. The Prometheus is visually great, great start to build on, but they failed totally with the engineers, that can be even see with the cut off scenes. And then when you combine it with the successor of Alien Covenant, it falls horribly. It was again one of those where you send a grown up children on important mission, and you get back the results, just like the Aliens was with main problem. Something on what the Alien never failed. And when watching new Terminator movies, there are just major brain farts in them after T2 that it is even today difficult to suggest to watch them.

Anyone else notice the harvester appears to rely on large, albeit advanced diesel engines for main power. Clever attention to detail from the production designer that tells us the robots are advanced but not quite advanced (at the year it's set) to enable a small fusion fuelcell to run a very large machine.

the Harvester dropped two moto-terminators and somehow they had 3 chasing them. A third magically shows up for the plot device of slamming into the engine of the hunter killer which in the next scene the hunter killer completely forgets it has a failing engine and turns around to shoot the truck still weighing it down. Gotta love when movies don't give a shit about continuity.

The movie prioritized spectacles over meaningful story. Marcus' redemption arc isn't done very well, and doesn't mesh with John Connor and Kyle Reese's origin story. Personally, I think each of them deserves their own movie, John Connor as a new leader struggling to prove himself, Kyle Reese as a refugee trying to survive and keep his sister safe, Marcus... actually I don't care much about Marcus. Sam Worthington wasn't a good lead. The world-building is barely there. The color grading is drab and boring. The movie had many things going for it, but it was also weighed down by too many negatives.
