Back together for “Terminator: Dark Fate,” Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton say overuse of modern A.I, like digital voice assistants, will leave us weaker as a society. (Oct. 24)

It sucks that it takes the threat of Skynet to scare people enough to get along. Heh.... given how humanity is, we're more likely to sacrifice the people we hate to Skynet than to actually work and live together.

Just want to add a quick note here that they seem to have misunderstood the meaning of the phrase "survival of the fittest." Fit in this context does not indicate physical fitness. Rather the word is used to mean evolutionary fitness, as in, ability to pass genes down to offspring. Evolutionary fitness is effectively measured by an individual's ability to produce offspring.

Who is the fittest ethnicity of human? I mean, you wouldn't balk comparing wolves to chihuahuas, yet evolutionists melt when I ask this question.
@taylorwoll
@taylorwoll Жыл бұрын
@@BaptistJoshua if you mean which race of humans has the highest reproduction rate, I mean, I’m sure that data is available. If you’re referring to evolutionary differences in humans from different regions that’s a more nuanced question than “which is best” obviously. Those features evolved for different purposes to solve the specific problems humans from those areas faced. For example, humans in Asia seem to have evolved smaller eyes because it helped them avoid snow or desert blindness. Makes sense, right? The humans who could see better in that environment were better able to survive and pass on their genes to their offspring. In the modern world, does that make people with Asian genetics better than other races? I’d wager to say no, if you ask me. But you might be able to make the argument that such a person would have a natural advantage navigating a field of snow versus a, for example, European-descendent white American person. Anyway, wow, this was a thread necro. Wonder if it’ll go anywhere. I’m kind of unsure if I should care much about what anyone says who uses the word “evolutionist” as a slur haha.

Humans have survived and thriving on this planet because of our intelligence. Any of the wild animals is fitter than us, yet we rule this world.
@yearginclarke
@yearginclarke 4 жыл бұрын
True, but our bodies haven't evolved to a point where we don't need to exercise them. It would likely take thousands, if not millions of years for the human body to evolve to a state where being sedentary is normal. Human intelligence is amazing, look at everything we have achieved. But being intelligent is no excuse to be lazy. Too little exercise is just as bad or worse than too much. Unless you have some condition that limits mobility, our bodies need regular moderate physical activity to be healthy.

We create telepathic ability to communicate with each others, by installing microships under our skin. Which is actually closer to become reality, as In my country fellow human put microship into his wrist that has Bluetooth and wi-fi connection. This ship is linked his iPhone and bank app and he can buy stuff from the shop by simply waving his wrist on a credit card reader.

@@tlst94 First of all things and this is theory of all times. We humans are at civilization level 0.75 or something. (This theory is called by the name The Kardashev scale. It's a method of measuring a civilization's level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is capable of harnessing and using.

@@tlst94 A Type I civilization is able to access all the energy available on its planet and store it for consumption. Hypothetically, it should also be able to control natural events such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc. A Type II civilization can directly consume a star's energy, most likely through the use of a Dyson sphere. A Type III civilization is able to capture all the energy emitted by its galaxy, and every object within it, such as every star, black hole, etc. We are currently approaching Civ level 1, And after we hit that lvl we can control everything.
