I was a very mature kid back in the 80’s. I was all of 10 yrs old when this movie came out, and it was one of my favourites (they did not really make movies for kids back then other than animated Disney stuff). I was a figure skater at the time, and my coach picked The Entertainer for my solo music. I hated it and told her so. Finally, she got fed up with my lack of enthusiasm every time I had to do that stupid Entertainer solo that she gave in and let me pick my own music. I told her I wanted the music from Terms of Endearment. She was like “seriously? That’s depressing”😂. It took me forever to find the sountrack album. I had to special order it from a large record store in Toronto. It was the BEST solo music though. I loved skating to it😊

Oh absolutely! If anyone didn’t fall head over heels in love with Jack, especially when he just showed up and gave Aurora his presence when she needed it. Wow! That’s what I love about particular actors/actresses: they are careful with the films they star in, but when they do, hold on because they’re going to give Academy Award performances.

@@deiunplugged144Everything today could never be. We learned how to love ourselves and those around us naturally, not with the influences of social media. It was a much more pure time. Of course we had modern technologies like microwaves and digital clocks but nothing compared to what the internet has done to our world today. I'm so glad I was in a generation that grew up without internet. I was 19 when I bought my first PC with AOL but prior to that there was no internet so my entire childhood was internet free. I'm also so glad I got to experience the internet for the second half of my life so far but more grateful that I knew what life was like prior.

I don’t know why I love this film’s score so much. It’s an 80’s movie, but it doesn’t have the groovy synth from the 80’s. It’s sentimental and homey. It almost reminds me of the mild music on those old Wee Sing tv movies, which were also made around the 80’s and 90’s.
