I actually disagree on the weaker defense than before statement. As someone who has mained Terra pre and post rework, she definitely has better defense now. Tornado both charge and uncharged versions work better against melee fighters now, and Chaos Wave HP attack is much better now. It’s a great close range option for Terra

Because she has to wait 3.5 seconds to protecc herself from anyone with super armor attacks. It's like watching Claire run away from Mr.x while reloading just for her to shoot him right before he punches her. It's scary being Terra versus heavy boiz. Garland especially.

I've been using UU characters like Kuja recently, they usually don't get nerfed much. Though it's annoying how Ultima can be so easily evaded

Really wish they'd focus more on buffing characters who need it than nerfing other characters. Buffs are always much more important than nerfs.

There is a line for that though. nerfing 1 overtone mechanic is a lot easier and more manageable with core gameplay balance than buffing other 29 characters and tone the gameplay to follow that. And to be fair, This Terra rework is a lot of mix of Buff and Nerf and change her Trance ability to be more complex, unique, and more interesting to play. (which is more important than Buff and Nerf to me)

I do agree with that, It just feels like the only character they've made an effort to actually buff so far is WoL. I haven't seen Lightning's changes yet though, so maybe I'm just making excuses, haha. I guess it's to soon for someone who is stuck in the states with NT to make claims about what they need to do more/less of... unless it involves fixing matchmaking. :V

Either 5 or 6 out of 10 (Before she is 6). HP attack no longer need charge make her has more option for bravery attack. and Trance also improve that aspect. But her CC and defensive ability got nerf. so I guess it's positive and negative mostly outweigh each others

She tried to attack Sephiroth with it. Also, not so makeshift. It's Enhancer, kinda made for directing spellz.

I like her skill set but I miss her Holy and Ultima use. Her Riot Blade is basically just for show now, with no slash, she's all magic missile. I wished they had just gave her an ability to magic up her sword with different elements kind of similar to Steiner and Vivi in FF 9.

I think the fewer projectiles for uncharged Fira and Blizzara is actually a buff for Terra. They compensated for the damage and she will be in "attack animation" and vulnerable for a shorter time period (I have the problem of getting attacked by a different enemy when I use those attacks on someone). I still can't tell if the changes are overall a buff a nerf, but I really hope a buff. I'm mad she lost her speed buff in Trance though. Does the cooldown mean the time period after Trance ends and when it starts up again? So Trance is shorter now but she will activate it faster?

i hope they give her a a little buff at last, while she is "ok" and very flexible, her skills are kind of "meh", i think her commander skills are fine, nothing special here, would have liked her gunshot move but whatever, her ravager magic is really only decent, most of her magic is predictable, slow and weak, fire is crap, i barely hit something with it and the dmg is utter low, i guess she doesnt Need a lot Change but something seems odd About the projectile priorioty of her spells, could u do a listing of the priority strengh of her spells? i didnt see this in lightning 1.0 either and it seems ninja onion Knight literally destroys Lightning, his shuriken seems to go through her moves but not 100% sure, thx

Charge won't go away if you block or get hit while in Trance. So it's easier to maintain charge spells as well as upgraded HP attacks.

-Went from 50m to 25m range(35m with trance) +Can be used anytime now +Only stops timer for charge, doesn't use it. I think that's much better in team fights. It's abit annoying because you have to get closer but it's better than having to not attack/get hit/block for 4 seconds before you can HP attack.

I'm pretty sure they will nerf uncharged Blizzara power again. 320 damage per hit is just too strong, cuz it's not that rare for it to hits all 960 damages.

Prestoproject yes it is. But it's a must, otherwise it will be even more OP if it doesn't knockback, making it easier to hits all three of them and potentially sets up for team up combo during the stun lock.

Third hit can't land and the second hit rarely lands. I doubt it'll get nerfed since 9/10 situations you only land 1 hit v.v

I just pretend she's holding it to make people think she's dangerous up close. It makes her more adorable and makes me dislike it less. I wish there was a way to remove it since none of her animations seem to require the sword.

I'm almost at the platinum trophy, and getting the trophies where you need to get 3 A++ rankings in ranked matches online for each non-DLC character. Terra is one of my last ones. She honestly feels like the worst marksman in the entire game. Everything she has except Graviga has low priority and gets beaten out by literally any other marksman...to say nothing of Vanguard units' poise values. Combined with weak/no homing projectiles, slow projectile travel speed, and big windup when executing her attacks.....she's hot garbage. And don't get me started on her "charge time" crap. Taking away consistency from a character in a fighting game, involuntarily, is always a bad idea.
