D4rkSonic his heart never truly succumbed though. There's even a scene with Terra's heart telling xehanort he's going to get the boot. Lingering will is his mind, but he's not resisting against xehanort because he's an outside force. Namine even had to communicate to it for it to help the guardians of light. The Terra here in this scene is his heart resisting xehanort. And he's been doing it for 10 years.

Terra seriously has the strongest will out of anyone in the series. It's so strong that it animated his armor and fought when he couldn't. It's so strong that he's been resisting Xehanort's efforts to completely take over his body...for a decade. Even when he became a mindless beast as the Guardian, part of him was STILL fighting inside and eventually broke free. When he tells Aqua here that he won't give in, that wasn't bullshit lol. That scene in KH3 where he comes back is just so satisfying, because not only is Terra finally free, but it means he's been fighting this entire time. Never gave up, never lost hope. Xehanort really used Terra because of his power, not realizing that's part of the reason for his downfall.

Fabien Nicolas Exactly. Also, part of him wants to come back to life through Xemnas. Terra is above the powers of Light and Darkness...it just narrows down the power of pure, unbounded Will. Thus far, he is the most powerful character in Kingdom Hearts lore aside from The Master of Masters...but I'm sure Sora will surpass it somehow in Kingdom Hearts III.

Terra is scattered in so many fragments...Lingering Will, in Xemnas subconcious and body and possibly in Ansem's Guardians...As seen in Dream Drop Distance when it hold it's hand imitating Riku holding the Keyblade and a fragment of Terra always still tries to struggle to get through that dark abyss he is in. If Terra is put back as a whole, I genuinely believe he can take most if not all the Seeker Of Darkness by himself...

Played this game today for the first time and seeing Aqua actually talk to Terra like that was so amazing to me. Glad they can still keep in touch. You know I think I finally figured out this scene. It must be happening during that same cutscene from KH2 Final Mix. Where Xemnas is seen walking down the flight of stairs in Radiant Garden to speak to Aqua's Armor. I believe Aqua was speaking truly to Terra until Xemnas sat in the chair saying "Its been a long time my friend". Thats when I believe Xemnas took control and found out where Ven was hidden, in the chamber of waking. Thus finding out this information. Tasked the Castle Oblivion Team to go and find him

George930 Yep. At that same time, Ansem-Riku was just defeated by Sora and Sora was releasing Kairi's heart. Thus, when Terra used the Will's Cage on Terranort again, Riku resisted Ansem from attacking Kairi. I kinda have a theory that Xemnas had reached out to Ansem and together they had sent an illusion of Terra of sorts to search for Aqua in the Realm of Darkness. Naminé, having just been born, reached out to the Lingering Will to protect Aqua, and thus (SOMEHOW) Terra's mind influenced the part of Terranort's heart that was still Terra to rebel once more. The subsequent use of the Will's Cage on Terranort in the RoD forever separated the body and heart from creating another illusion permanently. Since Ansem had his attention divided between maintaining the illusion with Xemnas and using Riku, Riku was able to hold him off and give Kairi, Goofy, and Donald a successful escape; as such, being no longer able to form another connection allowed him to turn his full attention to possessing Riku, finally casting him (was it Riku's mind or heart?) to the Realm of Darkness where he had lost connection to Xemnas. Again, nothing more than conjecture and theorizing, so feel free to disregard. There are details that still need to be ironed out anyway.

@@urahara64360 He's not dumb, just misguided. If anything it's Eraqus' dumb ass that's at fault for not warning his students about Xehanort at all and letting them fall into his clutches. Let's not forget that Eraqus' scars are from before the start of the game since he has them from the very first moment we see him and Xehanort revealed his infatuation with the darkness right when he gave them to him. So that should've been grounds for Eraqus to immediately take Xehanort down right then and there or at least to make sure his students knew about Xehanort's true nature while keeping him far away from their home. Instead of doing any of that Eraqus' dumbass just let's Xehanort walk in and out of the place freely while also making his students a target for him by showing off their training sessions which revealed Terra's weakness to the darkness to Xehanort in the first place. BBS is basically one huge cautionary tale as to why dumbasses like Eraqus shouldn't be left in charge.

I can see telling them once they were all master's in their own right since if any one of them took on xehanort alone at any point before the game began they would have been in just as much danger. He thought he was doing the right thing by protecting them from the truth.

I cannot understand the hate for Terra. He is my favourite of the three. His story is so complex. He loves his friends and fought his own darkness to try and save them.

So sad they never did anything with the whole Xemnas locating Ventus and the Chamber of Repose/Waking thing. That scene they added to KH2FM with Zexion and Xigbar gave me the chills, and this scene really made me more excited to see where it'll lead. (Also, some low-key theorizing, but I think this conversation with Terra and Xemnas talking to Aquas armor in the previously mentioned scene happen at the same moment in time, though Terra-Xehanort's voice being imposter Ansem's is evidence of the contrary.)

you know I realized something the only place this scene can take place in the timeline and make sense would be when riku-ansem aka xehanort got his ass handed to him by sora think about it where aqua game is taking place pretty at the end of KH1 and honestly this makes the most sense now especially after playing KH3 xehanort would have to lose control or grip on terra heart aka the shadowy other for a moment and crazy enough in KH 1 riku-ansem-xehanort vanishes for a few minutes and obviously while that happened terra was able to show himself briefly when that ended with aqua we see ansem come back with xehanorts spitting image not to mention it would also fit perfectly because right before terra takes xehanort heart by supersize xehanort would literally utter the same words as his heartless did DONT YOU KNOW MY NAME!!! he was obviously going to say IS ANSEM as he did minutes before when introducing himself to sora IT IS I ANSEM THE SEEKER OF DARKNESS! the timing and placement really fits perfectly if you ask me and before anyone brings up but what about xemnas well here the thing let’s not forget this can’t be xemnas because this was literally terra and xehanorts heart talking to aqua not so regrown clone replica heart and it can’t be when terra and xehanort was still AP xehanort ether because of the events of this clear placement
