Why didn't you just reroute the compression straps to the loops on the center of the back of the pack? They're just loops that can be moved around. It completely frees up the side pockets. Either way, I think Deuter is discontinuing this.

I think the only downside here is there is no front zipper for easy access

honestly why bother with this when the Exos exists?

Exos doesn't fit everyone - in my case it digs to the lower back around hips. Other reported similar problems

@@hubbiton It kind of sounds like the Exos would be bad for thinner people like myself, would you agree?

@@ysf-psfx actually it's better suited for thinner people. People with wider hips have problems with frame creating pressure points.
