I used to watch Etho a lot back in '14. Then I stopped for a while and am watching it all again and the new stuff as well. And now I appreciate him even more! I understand how great of an entertainer he is even more. Every episode is so well paced! I don't mean he scripts it line by line, but it kinda feels that every episode that gets released is really worth the watch! And I reckon it is the case with all the ones I've rewatched and remember. There's real joy with the way that he goes about his episodes! He constantly giggles and has fun, even in the most tricky frustrating projects (when he finds the solution by pure redstone badassery). Building tips for confused Ethos: 1. You can use multiple floor blocks, so long as you have an indoor separation (such as a different room, or changing the height of the floor with slabs) When you change the height of the floor, you want to change a full block so you can continue to place regular stuff on it. Thus, you need to smooth out the difference with slabs or stairs. Don't make a big ramp though, thats ugly. Two: front entrance doesnt need to be ugly. Try placing a little porch-overhang over the door, with supports. This can greatly increase the viewability of you entrance, so can berry bushes and other things. Trois: break up your interior into separate rooms. Even small ones. It may make actually navigating the house slightly more time-consuming, but trust me it makes the entire thing feel and look better. (This means actually putting up walls and doors inside the building) IV: Did you think about trying oak for the walls? also, since you have the ability to chisel your walls, try pushing the outside walls in a tiny bit so that the rock layer at the bottom sticks out a tad. Or you can put rocks on the outside and chisel them very thin so that there's a tiny little lip on your wall. (So, place those cobble blocks 1 block past the wall, and then chisel them so they look like they're right next to the wall. You can replace this detail with berry bushes as well. In fact, booshes make everything better so spam leaves and booshes Kappa) I don't know if you will see this comment, but if it looks like you're still struggling on the next episode I'll be glad to repost it with even more tips like the annoying commenter I am.

In real life, cryolite is an extremely rare form of aluminum ore that contains sodium and fluorine. Due to it's low melting point, it is cheap to refine into metal but very expensive to get in the first place, which is why it's only used as an electrolyte for the main aluminum ore, bauxite. I read all this on wikipedia.

Not sure if it has been said, but look into building a cellar. It's an add on for TFC in this mod pack, and it's probably the best way to preserve food. It's a multiblock structure, but you build it like a walk-in room, with cellar shelves. There's a block for the base of the structure that you can add ice/snow to which reduces the internal temp to 0 degrees. Think it'd be cool to have that in your basement :) Loving the series

So here’s an idea, and just hear me out, what if you make the floor out of straw? Not in the room where you’re setting fire of course, but in the room where you still have the walls open to the outdoors. Unless you plan to close up everything so all you’ll ever need is surrounded by wall, any outdoor features you can imagine have been treaded on a lot and dirt has dragged in, and the ground could be covered in straw.
@tomtexas48975 жыл бұрын

BTW, I don't know if you know this, but a cool trick for mining is to bring your chisel+hammer and make blocks above your head into smooth blocks. They don't have gravity, which gives you a safe spot for mining. Also, TFP uses another kind of automation other than redstone.
