You need the power fist to do more damage, extendo fist allows you to place objects further away... You might want to read the flaxbread's manual, it is quite a good read.

extendo fist gives better reach distance while building and breaking blocks

Maybe fly up to somewhere high with the jet pack then land on say a building then put the wings on and jump off.
