Terran Lexington Review - The Budget Inquiry

The Lexington is without a doubt the best buy in the game. By the way, a 4/4 weapons setup is amazing. Why? Because this is a Miracle Worker, if you're not running Mixed Armament Synergy III, you're missing out. For a beam build, having 1 turret on the back will proc MAS3 on all your beams. It's amazing. The Trilithium Enhanced Turret also has a chance for weapon cycle haste, which is one of the most important stats for energy weapons.

Not to mention you can just put 2 omnis, heavy bio turret and tri lithium turret in the back and roll a full frontal ass clap build. Its the best c store steal ever

Don't need a turret to proc...just need to activate cannon skill. 1 turret with buff is still a dps loss.

@@kevinpaterson9911 Ouch, you're losing some DPS there mate. MAS requires a weapon to activate, hence the text reads "activating a beam, cannon, mine, or torpedo..." Just buffing yourself with a cannon skill doesn't activate any weapons, so your beams (et. al.) aren't getting the 50% damage buff. Heck, look at the video you are commenting on. CasualSAB has an Omni Beam on the back of his cannon build. Look at Augmented Dictator's Lexington build, he uses all beams, 1 torp, 1 cannon/turret. You have to have the weapon to activate/fire, a firing mode without any weapon associated with it doesn't activate the weapon. Then if you're worried about not having a cannon ability for that one turret, just use ETM with a FAW3/TS combo.

@@trazyntheinfinite9895 Oh yeah, Trilitium-Omni, Heavy Bio Turret, Trilitium Turret (for haste procs), Crafted Omni on the Back with Disco DBB, Disco Torp, Sensor Linked DBB, and either the Terran Set Array or the Terran Set DHC up front... Incredible MASIII DPS and cheap as can be. Side Note: I often use the Terran Array up front even tho it's a frontal build just because I'm a lazy flier, even tho the DHCs work when using the Comp Engines since the Lex maneuverability isn't that bad, for it's size it's excellent but compared to an escort it's still slow. DBB frontal I think is the sweet spot for the Lex.

Just picked this up and holy crap, it is even superior to my SS Adament. I have about 75% meta gear on it and it cuts through enemies easily. Love it.

Great video Spencer, just to let you know my dill didn't sale fast enough so I bought the ZIN for the bundle and with bonuses with the sale it was only 100 dollars. So right now you can even save an extra 30 bucks.

The only instance I could say for the trait would be swarm where the hurq get up your backside and that would probably be enough enemies less than 5km but the ship is great basically using my inquiry build on it plus the elite alliance fighters as others have mentioned it’s a good ship it’s not the best but it’s not bad

The console is very good in Swarm too but otherwise kinda of weak

I figured it was for use in combination with grav well where you deliberately bunch a lot of enemies in a small area.

@@star-army Anti time entanglement rank 2 from the temporal defence initiative is far better with gravity well. I am eliminating ships as they get sucked in with both active. This console is great if those two do not destroy the ships.

I guess the hangar (now able to spread Focussed Assault 3 all over the place!) narrows the gap to the Inquiry by even less. Ship looks great. My only Oddy in service is the Leg one for tanking so this ship does not immediately appeal but I can see it's good. Eagerly awaiting your other reviews, especially Adamant and Trailblazer, albeit I'm fairly sure I shall get the bundle anyway lol.

just got the Lexington haven't bought a ship in years soon as i seen it i just had to get it i want it for the ship not bothered about trait or console however i may throw the console on my torp boat looks like fun also i use cannons on the Lexington and its brilliant

Other than the strike wing, is this the best ship out of the new bundle, always wanted the inquiry but if this is a cheaper alternative would us my t6 token on it

For energy weapon performance, this is likely the best ship in the bundle. The Adamant is also quite good, but the main takeaway from it is the console. The ship itself is good, just not as high of a performer.

I used a t6 coupon for this ship and loving it. Done a torp build which makes good use of the console. mine build next, those are always fun to play :)

In all honesty the 12th Anniversary Bundle might be the best value bundle in the game to date. The only thing that gives it a run is the 10th anni bundle on shear volume of top end ships. But for 5 defined ships + a T6 coupon this is damn good. There is only one ship that I would argue is not great, that being the Cygnus. Which has a lot of good stuff, but none of it mixes well. While 2 of the ships rather closely match 2 of the top Promo ships in game. The Lexington is rather similar to the Inquiry. I think the seating on the Inquiry is slightly better. But they are playing with mostly the same toolsets. And the Trailblazer has I think a 1 seat difference from the 32c Janeway. Aka the Voyager-J. I'm told the Adamant may be the best Raider in game right now. I'll take their word for it. Raiders annoy me. And of course the Engle is the same chassis that has been dancing at the top of the Meta Builders dps ladders for the past few months. Plus gives an account unlock for SAD.

Won't the MW Cmdr skill time out the Tac skills (beam/cannon)? Are they just there for the firing mode comp engine speed proc?

Exceed Rated Limits will conflict with Beam / Cannon firing modes if that's what you're referring to. ERL should be a comp engine proc.

It's still a solid ship, but the recently released Terran Hydra has better DPS potential. Lexington still works perfectly fine tho if you're wanting the odyssey visual.

Yeah, the Lexington is an Odyssey class, and can look like the other Odyssey variants if you have those skins unlocked. The new remaster skin will also be available on it in June.

Hit F12 and there should be a "new" button on your horizontal tray. That will make the vertical bars pop up.

Console actually works well with torp builds.

At a certain dps point in advanced you cant tell a difference. Everything is super weak and easy in advanced. Not a good measurement of dps when comparing ships.
