Omg, I'm 56 years old, a combat veteran, and I'm crying like a child. This story just hits. It takes the "man out of time" story to a whole other level. It makes me think about all the Brothers I've lost both in war and to their own inner demons. Honestly, I just don't have any other way to put it.

Ah yes, timetravel. To Go Back, you have to move Forward :D Most impressingly to me is, that despite all changes, they we're able to keep record of the ships Mission, even after 10.000 years. Nowadays, you have to fear to lose all information about Something after less than 100 years

A happy ending. Imagine if it still didn't work, the xenos still haven't figured out time travel-that would've been bad. Up until the heat death of the universe and everything would just cease to exist. But they're still there, forever trying with no one to help them until they die.

they would still leap fowards, every time they engage the engine only a few seconds pass until they jump to real time, is actualy a bit sad, time does not pass for them

Love this story, but I wish they would have spent some time in the future. They where looked at as heroes and they just up and leave without answering any questions. I wish it would have said something like "3 Months Later" before they made the choice to leave. So you could imagine them spending some time with the people of that time.

I was thinking the end of ai artificial intelligence, where the kid gets reactivated by super advanced robots from the future who regard him as their progenitor. They pity on his and keep him in a simulation where he gets to be with his human mother forever while they observe and pay their respects.
