The buffing of the NPCs was such an awesome and much-needed change. Makes them be less decoration and now actually contribute in a relevant way, defending the town.

The thing is the bosses are attacking you not the npc's so there was a massive advantage for the npc's

Well actually, it seemed as if the bosses weren’t even aiming at a player, for example king slime. King slime did no teleporting and jumped in random directions. Same with queen bee. Idk how that works but I’m pretty sure there are mods that allow bosses to ignore you. I mean, everything exists when there’s a mod.

All of the NPCs, including the hardmode ones, can only kill Non-Hardmode Bosses, if the bosses are distracted by the player. Eh, NPCs having some defense just makes the game feel better.

IMO you should have hearded to stick with the masses to ensure that the NPC still took damage But still from this video I learned that I should have King and Queen statues to bring every NPC to boss fights with me.

It's only really a good idea for the twins skeletron prime and pre hardmode bosses besides wof because since the destroyer can go through them it really is a killer as shown with the wyvern and charging twins

Truffle is the highest damaging npc. If there were a hundred vs king slime, the truffle would destroy him in 1 second flat.

top 5 best npcs: 5.witch docter he can sell you leaf wings which are really good and will last hardmode 4.truffle he can give you a autohammer to help you make shroomite armor if your on the ranger path 3.angler hard to believe but he can make you a fishing master if you want to fish for fun 2.wizard for ice rod so you can build a island in the sky 1. the nurse she can heal you to full for some money remember your life is better than money so always be healed by the nurse it is a method as well

They should make a summoning weapon corresponding to each npc, and when you spawn them it summons a flying version of that npc with their weapon. Of course they go away when you die. Also as you progress they get stronger just like the npcs.

For the King Slime, I once defeated it only using a mechanic, a tavernkeep, and the guide. And they tank all the hits. Seriously, King Slime needs a serious buff!
