Terraria - CALAMITY INFERNUM: The MELEE CLASS EXPERIENCE!

Today, we yet again try our luck at the outlandish Terraria mod difficulty, CALAMITY INFERNUM. This time, we'll be taking it on with the melee class.
It all starts with humble beginnings, copper shortswords, living in fear of our lives and hairlines merely at the mercy of each mob that spawns in our world, but soon after the leap to hellstone, we begin the ultimate march toward victory. From Polterghast's oddball melee weapons, to EARTH, from some crabby claws from Crabulon, to DEATH'S ASCENSION against that of the Devourer of Gods, it's all here! The real question is, how are we to take on that of the fabled Jungle Dragon Yharon with all but a stick? Are we meant to be CLOSE to the Devourer of Gods, or even Supreme Calamitas to attack? How in God's name will we take on the Exo Mechs? What does the endgame look like if we even get that far to begin with? How bad can melee truly be? (It is the best class imaginable.)

You know the melee class has a special place in my memories. Used it to beat the game the first time I played it. Of course I was a noob and played on normal mode but I still had fun. On Infernum however? I’ve learned nothing is sacred and to learn and abuse every glitch, cheese or progression skip I can get my hands on. It’s a lesson on insanity and class is in session!

Hey WaffelTime. Just a tip for the Queen Slime attack at 27:00. You can just stand still and all of the beams miss. All of the beams rotate slightly but because of that rotation, it creates a gap in the middle big enough for the player to stand inside. Just a tip 👍

If you ever want to speed up the fishing process, you can kill a trasher for the angler to spawn, and then sacrifice the angler to the fishing gods by leading another trasher to kill him, and they will bestow upon you a golden fishing rod.

Death's ascension is fantastic but if you want a real "safe" (relative) option the final upgrade to the depths crusher, Neptune's Bounty is a pretty good option because it has infinite piercing and it homes in on the weak points (head and tail)

For a quick cheese in hardcore, you can fish in hell with the he’ll fishing rod and enchanted worms and get hellfire crates which can give you adamantium and titanium before beating any mechanical boss
