Terraria Overhaul 3D 2.0 + 1.5..? = Total Madness ─ Playing Terraria Overhaul in 1.4 #1

Last year, I did make a playthrough series with the Terraria overhaul. Back then, I haven't actually played a Terraria overhaul, despite its popularity. It was an insane mod, if you ask me: A lot of new feature, whole new mechanics that kinda confused me, and a fire. Fire that took everything from me. It was amazing... Terraria overhaul did get a port to tMod 1.4; it's not what we expected though, since most of the contents are actually cut, or unimplemented. Still, it's a great mod to play, especially with other mods. So, Here's my attempt of playing Terraria overhaul in Journey's end...

I think the reasons so many features were "cut" from the 1.4 overhaul was because the mod isn't finished being ported yet, sense it saying beta

@@trismuth it ain’t that hard from the perspective that he had several months to do so, mods like calamity, thorium, eternity pretty much all of them already ported it, so its not that hard from the point it’s not impossible/it doesnt take you more than a year. That’s why he’s reworking all of it, if it was just port, it would’ve been done already. I dont think its even needed to be explained, you can see it on the beta, the mechanics are not the same as before at all.

@@NFYT yes but like its a beta also the overhaul team isnt too amazingly big, but the bigger mods like calamity and thorium have much bigger teams and can get everyone to start working on a 1.4 port. also calamity and thorium just adds content, it doesnt overhaul literally every mechanic in vanilla terraria, so it might have been significantly easier to port. also, why the hell would he be making a completely different mod? there is no reason to rework everything, so why whould he?

@@trismuth i don’t know, but listen, its not like an opinion of mine, he’s literally reworking/changing all he does in the mod, maybe he thought “terraria overhaul overhauls too much”, bc it is true it had some unnecessary changes in some aspect, like burning mechanic never went into anything, you can get charcoal, to make more torches and thats literally all. You can check it on mirsario’s patreon, most of the changelogs are “added X thing”, or “completely reworked Y thing”, thats the thing.
