because it never was a focus for the devs, and this type of music, despite it being incredible, wouldn't fit in the game, because it doesn't suit the image they gave to the game, it could have been, but their selling point is peace and creativity, at least prior mastermode where they finally understood what their game was about and started building around it, unfortunately it came a bit too late, because they realized this, we would at the very least have a unique music for each bosses, and that alone would give them more personality. Hopefully they give music a better spot in their next project, and they stop their bullshit of "the player play the way he wants, do whatever he wants", so that we can have polished content where it matters. Though having a music like this in a professional project would be a bald move, but others made masterpieces with music you wouldn't expect (thinking of sonic cd, taking advantage of the techno trend in the early 90s)

@@AQ-wk6lc A better spot for music in Terraria? Really? Its OST is one of the most iconic ones on par with Minecraft and it does slap when it has to (Boss 2 will forever be a jam). But as you say, they put focus on peace and creativity and it works incredibly well, they've made the right choice picking Scott Lloyd Shelly as their composer. These banging modded energetic OSTs are great but Terraria wouldn't feel the same without the amazing ambience for all the biomes and events that Scott carefully put together.

@@pizzarella985 you're basically saying the same stuff, but we go to the opposite direction as a conclusion, my perception is that its music is what it defines it as it's core, it's very good, but still very blend and generic, you'll have the same theme kicking in in many situations, the music is good, the music is a perfect fit for casuals and lambda players, it works for everyone, but it's not a focus and you can see it, and it's a shame, I'd rather see remixes of our vanilla bosses, than people coming out the way and making their own music and themes for the game because there is nothing to work from as an inspiration inside of the game.

@@someonehasc0m3 let's not get carried away, but it's definitely up there, it's better than element awoken and spirit (though this one is getting sicker and sicker over time, and the next big update might be a huge deal), it's better than redemption, but i'd say split for example is still better, and so far, even calamity, cannot top up the premises of Starlight River, the demo was amazing. To me, SoA is the best content mod, it does what older mods does jut as well, quality is good, graphics are good, bosses are good, world is good, but it doesn't top up calamity (anyway it's the OG, even if someting better comes afterward, it's still gonna be because of Calamity), nor the creativity of Starlight River or the fanciness of Split.
