I played and beat Terraria skyblock but every single mob item drop is completely random, meaning that a slime can drop anything from a random statue or block to something like the terrarian or the zenith, will I get lucky and gain overpowered weapons or will I rage quit due to being too bad at the game.

The reason you lagged is because the WoF is coded to put its eyes around the middle of the underworld between the bottom of the world and the roof of the cavern, since your world was a skyblock it lagged out because the game wastrying to place WoF in the middle of the world, but also near the player
