Does the Landsat satellite contain old satellite images?

Yes it does, You can get to up 1973 images. But sensors will differ like MSS, TM, ETM, Landsat - 7 & 8. Roughly MSS (1973 - 1988) and TM (1990 - 2002)

Hello and thank you for your great effort, but I have a problem with the pictures I am uploading. They are large, and when I want to access an area, it sometimes takes me 5 hours to find the area by looking at image features. Is there a way to shorten this time to reach an area in historical images after downloading them, for example by using the area's coordinates? Thanks again

Yeah, you are right. But these images are not georeferenced. Hence we need Georeference it and then with lat, long you search particular place.

For reference, I was trying to download corona images dated to 1975 from declass-3 over Bangalore area. Only one image is available. The others aren’t accessible somehow. I was hoping you could help.

Hi, Can you please specify the year of study. If you are doing it for more-than one decade you can use landsat series.

You can contact NRSC or Try to get SPOT Images for 1990s and 2000. Not Sure about 1980s
