Meth Helper makes it to where you don't have to spend like 10 seconds waiting for Bain/Locke to say their two lines [or longer if you weren't paying attention because you were killing cops (something that happens frequently in Payday 2)], and thus can get through the mission noticeably faster. Last time I checked, an info HUD doesn't make the heist literally go by faster. Also some of the information info HUDs give is either simple information that doesn't impact the heist substantially, or information that has no way to figure out if you play vanilla, but even that information doesn't impact the heist substantially. Kind of seems like someone's mad they got called an idiot because of a mod they use.

Also you're probably going to be monitoring the drill anyways just incase either it randomly breaks or cops break it.

I used keepers + waypoints for a while because dealing with bot pathfinding gave me fucking brain damage. Call a bot to where I want them to be? They proceed to walk into a corner halfway across the map and crouch so they can't see shit. Especially and specifically on cook off's map since I had a very specific bot setup I liked but dealing with their shite made it take 5 years to get them there. It was so annoying. Didn't use the interactions because I'd lose a bloody damage dealer/tank when I could just do it myself and 75%+ faster to boot with quick and other skills. With more and more crashers/cheaters showing up lately I'm considering going back to it and just being an offline mode hermit.

IMO meth helper isn't too bad as long as you actually know how to do the heist, because it just saves a bit of time waiting for the second line of dialogue. If you actually need it to do cook off though, look into getting some help

You can find Legacy Edition keys on 3rd party sites that have the Kingpin perkdeck. This was how I got mine. However, there is risk involved with these 3rd party, the first key I brought was a dud which sucked. In the end I went to a different site and the key I brought there was legit, this one I brought from a seller on G2A.

Better Bots makes the game playable above DW for players with shit internet (Payday 2 has enough connection issues as it is). Bots are very, very OP in some ways, but keep in mind that you have to do pretty much all bag moving and objectives yourself. I personally think BB balances the scales. Although, I have no fucking idea why you'd use it in public lobbies. Carry Stacker is something I enable when the side jobs tell me to stealth Golden Grin or some equally tedious, boring shit. If the stealth is balanced around moving bags (eg. Shadow Raid) or is a loud heist, especially one like Aftershock or Meltdown, then it's 100% a cheat. Silent Assassin is fun for challenges. (Eg. doing map clears, giving yourself no pagers, etc) but using it seriously is just sad. The pager system is literally designed to counter the fact that guard AI is dumb and stealth in payday is dumb, removing that system just ruins the experience imo.

So I use 3 of the mods you labeled as "Blatant Cheats" and I just wanted to say why I use them, not that they aren't cheating, or that everyone should use them, when I play modded it's always in a friends-only lobby or offline because I know not everyone wants to deal with my changes. Better Bots, I know the bots are really tough, I mainly use this one for the better bot AI, them throwing flashbangs everywhere is really irritating. The "Dominating cops" turns into them yelling at any cop that's damaged, really loud. no reason to buff health, so just combat improvements, using hyper reflexes is making the game braindead. Carry Stacker, you're right, I'm lazy. I don't have that much free time anymore and I don't care for spending minutes having to solo train a ton of bags, I prefer to just grab 4 - 8 and shoot my way out. it's cheating, it makes the game faster for me, I'm not playing with other people anyways. P.S. the person you talked about who carried 15 goats and ran to the objective exploited the mod menu, you can turn the movement speed penalty down, and the Movement speed penalty is how it determines how many bags you can carry, he set it to zero. Silent Assassin, Again, I'm lazy, but with a twist. I find the game more fun and rewarding to be able to splinter cell my way around maps killing people then moving unrestricted in a crime scene that no one was the wiser of than sneaking around like a ghost with no one seeing me at all. It is a cheat, but it's my preferred style of stealth. I don't care if people don't like it, it's not like I'm in pubs anyways. at the end of the day, I really wish people who used mods that affect the game like this would either set their lobby to friends only or tell people that they have them installed. you should be able to play Payday 2 the way you want to, but if you intend on other people joining you, you need to make it clear they aren't getting the intended experience.

@@nonamewouldfitme3017 yeah, people get tons of hate for using these mods, and some people do exploit them, but mod makers make mods to fix an issue they have with the game or try an interesting concept. I had a similar issue, so I used their mod. I also know from prior modding experiences with other games that not everyone had the same problems and needs the same fixes as you, so I play with only friends. Pubs in Payday 2 are super hit or miss too, so there's another reason.

@@andrewjackson1552 Mhm, I feel ya. The only real "Cheat mod" I use is ammo types for all so I can make burning sniper rifles and whatnot. I did use an explosive charge Mark 10 which I did get called a cheater for but it did such dogshit damage that it really wasn't worth it haha I used to have more cheat mods probably, and while I still don't really respect SA or Carry stacker (I do respect better bots though if only them following you alot more closely and being less dumb) However as long as you just give a decent reason while not going at me I could probably give less of a shit. Just more blatant cheat mods like max skills I just really can't ignore. Besides, most of my pubs don't really mind about me hosting cheats. Even then, it's just cook faster to help people through infamy 3.0 and people do appreciate that and I've made friends with it cuz I like to be a nice host. Used to also have ECM rush helper but it just wasn't really helping, people weren't listening to it anyway so I just removed that. I also got MX the overhaul which adds a bunch of extra perk decks and extra fun equipment to mess around with but since I actually helped with that mod it's probably some bias, good ass mod though. I'm happy to dick around with that mod whenever really. HMU though if you want a good host or just a person who's pretty good and doesn't really mind those kind of mods, and especially in a private setting cuz I got some cheat mods myself.

Yes, carry stacker is a cheat, but i argue that for maps like GGC and San Martin Bank (both in stealth), when there is no possibility to fuck it up if you clean the backdoors and 1st floor respectively it ok just to speed up the tedious bag moving.

One thing about helpers: As somebody with ADHD who struggles to focus and a family who keeps distracting me every 20 minutes while i play, doing the 1-2 h long cooking achievements was nearly impossible. After like nealy an hour or more, id get too impatient to wait for bain to repeat what he the ingredient was, so if i where to mishear or just get distracted id fuck up the achievement. So I caved in and isntalled meh helper cause i can't focus on a game for shit, and after the achievement because of the same lack of focus I forgot to install the mod for months... Moral of the story: due to a lack of focus i couldn't do the achievements without the fucking helper and due to the same lack of focus kept looking like an absolute moron in pub lobbies when i forgot i had meth helper installed lmfao

Imo dlc unlocker is entirely fine since overkill is so lazy with dlcs past white house. I used to buy every. single. dlc until border crossing, that dlc (and everything after it) was so shit that Overkill doesnt deserve my fucking money, because of the blatant reuse of assets, terrible optimisation, horrendous balance (in other words, locking new OP weapons behind dlcs) and stupid high prices compared to how little the dlc adds.

Actually quite enjoyed this tierlist video, do have some things to say regarding the cheating tierlist though 19:22 As someone who doesn't use low violence mode (despite somewhat needing it) I can confidently say that it does give you a big advantage, but that you might not even realise it until you stop using the mod for an extended period of time. Most of these are of course related to issues the game has that could be fixed, but are still annoying nontheless and low violence mode lets you just ignore all of these issues for no downside. Being able to see what cops you kill isn't even that big of an advantage, if you pay attention you'll generally be able to tell. Custom HUDS do a better job of this as it'll give you kill confirmations at long range with bright colours. The biggest advantage hands down is not having to deal with corpses blocking you in any way whatsoever. This comes down to 3 different categories: - Flashbangs, corpses can and will block your ability to melee or even sometimes shoot flashbangs, meaning you'll have literally no choice but to just face away from it and pray you don't get fully flashed, or straight up leave the area/die. - Shields, dropped shields act as a damage blocker. Admittedly this can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, but generally means that a corrider or doorway will just be completely blocked by the dropped shield and you won't be able to deal any damage to the enemies past this shield. The only upside is they can't do it to you either, but will still be able to hit your teammates and you won't be able to defend them anymore. - Generic corpes, corpses can sometimes fall in very unfortunate positions and either completely block your vision of whatever threat is pushing you or even just whatever threat is right behind this cop. I've died multiple times to just not expecting a single crouching heavy to be behind whatever I just killed, assuming it to only be a single crouching cop that managed to slip through (since it takes time for the corpse to fall over and you won't see him until a full second later). I'm also not entirely confident this is true, but it feels like corpses can block your bullets despite them being able to shoot through the corpses. If this is true it becomes an even bigger clear advantage. 20:45 Personally I'm always fine with people using custom huds, but they have the options to give you so many advantages that allow you to be braindead or gain a very serioud advantage since the game will just tell you the important details that you should learn through game sense. Most noticably info HUDS give so many advantages to anarchist (with its reset timers and it sometimes being almost impossible to keep track of everything, especially if you just got focused a lot and lost your armor 10 times in a row), to the point that I would straight up just consider it to be cheating there. My favourite pick of info HUD advantages (in no real order) would be: - Telling you when cops spawn - Telling you when snipers spawn - Telling you when you have unseen strike active - Telling you when bullseye recharges (since it triggers even without replenishing your armor) - Telling you when your bop recharges - Telling you when armor ticks happen - Telling you when uppers recharges - Telling you when cops die through damage numbers - Telling you what state the assault/fade is in - Telling you your bloodthirst stack - Telling you your exact health for zerk setups I'm sure there are more advantages that I've missed, but it's undeniable that these are straight advantages that you have over people that don't use them that will actually give you a serious edge in survival. I'm also very surprised you didn't include "Hacker Cancer" under "Acceptable Advantages". I know you didn't go over everything but it's extremely popular. The mindset that this mod is perfectly fair because "It's Overkill's intentions" is just naive at best and denial at worst. Just the name already tells you that's not what the modder had in mind, nor did he actually attempt to "fix" third party healing. He just simply took his personal annoyances and set the healing to be nonexistant. Even if this was Overkill's intentions, it's a part of the game. You shouldn't mess with game mechanics and just submit it to Overkill if you think it's an actual issue. It's not unlike them to engage in bug fixes and Hacker healing through zerk has been in the game for a very long time. The bottom line is that this mod just gives you a straight braindead edge over people who don't have it, and indirectly buff hacker and zerk viable perk decks.

Corpes are solid and can block bullets. They can also obstruct the flashbangs if one corpse fall over to the said flashbang(this is client side too). I am sure you can't shoot throught a corpse at all even with snipers but i don't feel like dropping low violance to test it. Infohuds don't do much imo. Most of them give too much information to even be usefull. I still recommend new players to use them to get an inside look on how the game functions but that is about it. I dropped using any and all type of infohud and i don't feel any tangible difference in my play. Also hacker cancer is what the lua called in BLM as well. It is just ripped from the mod so name makes sense.

theres one here i do want to defend and its meth helper. for me its just to speed up the process a little. its also worth mentioning that i'm hard of hearing and have adhd, so it can be extremely hard to focus on those three things at once. i can play without meth helper, it just makes it a bit easier. i do wish there was a mod that just gives you a notification after bain finishes talking, since it would make more since. maybe what the makers of meth helper could add an option in their mod to make the text message only appear after bain finishes speaking.

Custom weapons are sometimes shit and made as a cheat, but some actually do try to bring a new weapon that is sorta balanced into the forgotten categories or categories with only one or two useable weapons if wanted to be played without frustration. The main problem with these weapons is that they can be easily modified if you know english and have a basic logical understanding of not even code, just math and language.

really? Do you think XP Bank is a cheat? I use it myself and it banks the base XP from a heist completion. I use it so I can rank up my infamy every once and a while without having to grind from level 1 - 100 every time I play. most people don't even rank infamy above 1 anymore, so I kinda feel justified in that I make the game progress without making the game more irritating for having to do the 1 - 100 grind when I play causally, or just stagnate at my current rank.

The only reason why i'd ever consider low violence mode as a cheat is when you play with weapons like bows crossbows or focusing on using throwing knives, because then you can get the ammo back faster when the corpse despawns and theres a chance for it to multiply the projectile for no reason, so you can go on killing and moving faster through places instead of killing and waiting for you to be able to pick the knife (as the biggest example) back. And yeah it lets you see which cops are dead and which arent, but for me i use it only to get rid of huge amounts of corpses that lag the game heavily. If it wasnt so bad for me with that, i wouldnt use this mod at all.

I have seen another use of this, shield. I don't knkw why but when they died sometimes they just leave shield straight up and it blocks everything, the game process on client side so who ever got this BS has to deal with it alone.

​@@alphachestnut Simple. No Screenshake and Low Violence mode works in lobbies. The visual clarity you gain not having corpses around is immense. I can't even make use of bots most of the time because I play with other people. When I DO play with bots, I still want to be on a level playing field with a full team. Better Bots doesn't give them more health. It doesn't give them dodge builds. In fact, what the dodge option really does is make them dodge like cops. The mod makes them aim more consistently and multiply their damage to x5. You know... like all those damage skills players can make use of? Bots still won't drop equipment, and they're not gonna be able to use inspire at the same rate players can. At that point, the only thing you have over a normal team is bot boosts.

Given that this game is PvE i really could care less about cheaters the only exception that i can think of is the DLC unlockers because really the game is already cheap AF it's ALWAYS on sale and so are the DLCs, and also since it's the only way that Overkill can even stay afloat it really shouldn't be done (i want Payday 3 goddamit) Everything else is free game since again this isn't COD if you're not cheating against human players do whatever

The only DLC unlocker that I'd accept is Scarface DLC since there's no way to obtain the Kingpin deck anymore, unless you buy from 3rd party sites (like G2A). And even then, the money you paid for Kingpin doesn't help Overkill whatsoever

Don't agree with custom weapons - it's for breaking monotony that this game created by making difficulties with mindset that higher they are = higher HP (and damage), which removes most of firearms options. Even aesthetically - I want to use something like prototype AK-12, Calico, K1, Ace 21, etc., even with good selection of weapons in PD2 - not everyone will be satisfied, just saying. Plus fellas like >:3, Alcat, Gambyt, carl ruins everything, etc - put shitton of effort for these weapons, so calling those who used them "idiots" - is really uncalled for.
