My hobby is realizing the deviations certain AUs/ATs could’ve taken to connect Aftertale occured when Sans got tired of the genocide runs, and injected themself with determination (leading to Error in the future) Fatal Error exist because Error went back to destroy his past self. Dust/Murder sans occured because Sans ENDURED the genocide loop far too many times, to the point where he eventually lost it. [Unlike Aftertale, who gave up far sooner] And if we deviate the type of human we have, we can get Killer or Horror Horror came after a neutral run, so in other words if the play had done a queen undyne neutral instead of a genocide, technically speaking after the story HorrorTale could occur Killer came with a hacker human. Similarly to plenty of AUs, it was a genocidal human. However if the player made the choice was screwing with Sans’s code, (and a deal) we get Killer (I’m not doing massive detail) Idk if I’m the only one who sees this kinda stuff or if I’m insane but thought I’d share (I just used the MTT as an example) ALSO BTW THIS CHANNEL IS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED EXCUSE ME

Well, about Murder/Dust We can say, that he lost it... But it won't be accurate. At least he understands, that Killer and Nightmare is a bad company, though he would be friendly with Horror. There was also an explanation, why exactly he can remember? It was stated as "Some kind of Bug/Error/Glitch appeared". It was also stated, that Dusttale has a player, so it could have been this player that made this glitch. Within those 300+ resets, he tried everything that there was, like asking help and etc, just to stop the genocides. It is also logical for him to change his patterns too, when he started to remember those timelines (as he does within his genocide - he kills the human? He changes the pattern, even for a bit. He died? He again changes it. And it continues for a long time. Like how it was stated, he could kill the human 100 times within 1 timeline, give or take. And resets within dusttape can go over 1000. At the very least, he is changing his pattern during dusttale, not sure about those 300+ resets). Technically speaking, yes, he sees a "ghost" of his brother, but he also understands, that this is not Papyrus, because phantom Paps is nothing alike the real Paps, along with the fact, that phantom was still there, when timeline was resetted, and he have seen his Paps and Phantom. The only thing I guess, that can imply to "He lost it", is because he is refusing any kind of help from outsiders. His timeline is not their jurisdiction, same as theirs are not his. If he somehow appeared in another AU, he would just become a background character, that is trying to return back. He has no reason to attack anyone outside of his timeline. He is sane enough to understand, that his Paps is not real. He is sane enough to understand, that this whole "Dusttale" is pointless, but also understands, that it's the only hope that he has. He is sane enough to understand, that other timelines or aus are not his, and that it's not necessary true, that they are going through genocide loops. He is sane enough to understand, that there is no reason for him to attack Undyne and Asgore directly, as it is a waste of time and powers. (Though, he has more stamina, than his past self).

Which might contribute as to why Error hates the Au's since when an Error is created, they become unhinged or obsessed with the last thing they think about before they became an Error which for Error!Sans would be the multiple timelines or something similar that the goner kid said "a world that functions perfectly without you" which Geno might feel unhinged or insecure about. (Which might explain Error's manbaby moments and need for attention within the grand scale of the multiverse) and he also explained it to Blueberry that he hates that multiverse because there exists infinite versions of yourself based on any choice and it makes him feel small and that he "... REALLY HATES THEM" Also another example would be Fatal_Error and his obsession with bringing back "his" Papyrus since the last thing Geno thought of, before he got corrupted from his encounter with Error, was Papyrus

​@@mauvejewel9608 I always liked the concept of Fatal_Error. It's the outcome of two logics colliding in messed-up ways. If you hit an unkillable being with something that would guarantee death. Geno can't die because he is in the void with determination in his soul. Error is strong enough to wipe multiple universes with no effort. His stat is probably glitched and he most likely possesses infinite power to a certain degree. This interaction with strong forces mutated Geno's code, destroying it beyond recognition. Like you said, the part that's obsessed with bringing papyrus back. Sans isn't dead though, that's why he keeps killing papyrus from other universes, convincing himself that they are frauds. (Gaster has a part in it too.) Maybe he knows deep down that papyrus will never come back, but also can't come to terms with it. That's why I think his eyes show two different colors. Red, and blue. It's like the determination grew like a parasite and consumed half of his mentality.

Also, would that mean Fatal_Error would eventually become a killing machine since the whole determination shenanigans only worsen from that point? That's just my theory. Like a Fatal_Error that's completely red would be kinda sick. I thought this way because he almost seemed confused in the comic. (That could be the case just because he can see multiple codes throughout the whole universe all at the same time.)

@suwa77 Honestly, i kind of used to be confused with Error being unable to kill Geno because i get Geno is unkillable in the Save Screen within the setting of Aftertale but Error effortlessly destroys entire universes along with anything contained or set within them and so the universes rules kind of doesn't apply to Error (especially when Error destroys a whole AU or the multiverse) but it all made sense once it was revealed that ERROR used to be GENO and so since Error was originally from Aftertale the rules of that timeline/universe still apply to him which is why he's unable to kill Geno within the Save Screen and its like you said two logics creating a "Fatal_Error" (an unstoppable force against an unmovable object) within the rules of their native universe. Because Error is an 'error' because Geno messed around with his 'Determination' in a sort of 'bad ending' timeline of Aftertale.

Ah, I haven't seen anything related to UT AUs in a while and what a delight it is to see Error being such an asshole. The smooth animation and distinct designs (which is shockingly good considering the two characters we follow are TWO VERSIONS OF ONE GUY and these two are best defined by their colors, of which there are not a lot of in here) really brings the characterization to the next level!

I like to see this as like Error looking into his past (since he can create portals that allow him to see memories he may have forgotten) and just making fun of Geno/his past self to kind of cope with the pain that he doesn't want go through again when he realized that he was Geno. And having to deal with that realization, he just compares himself on how better off he is now ("I'm Undefeatable.... I'M THRIVING!") unlike how Geno was just suffering. Idk, I kind of like to headcannon that after Error fought Fatal_Error and got his new clothes due to his old ones being damaged from their "battle"( which i like to think its a glitched up but also modified verson of his old lab coat and maybe Geno's scarf... idk just headcannon ik its for Lucidia) that's when he started to figure out on his own who he was (of course after when he had to deal with Error!Undyne and let go of Blueberror to the Omega Timeline) and call himself just "Error" instead of "Error!Sans" to not just shorten his name but to also kind of separate himself as his own being. Simliar to how Geno separated himself from Classic Sans by calling himself Geno ( that and in a meta sense CrayonQueen/LoverOfPiggies wanted to include Error in her own original work called "Lucidia" but had to change Errors design so he's not technically a "Sans" anymore for copyright reasons)
